Hi metsfan, The New York Times says a <7> tunnel from West 34th Street would cost about $5.3 million and Secaucus is being looked because of a connection with NJ Transit. If you look at Google Maps, such a tunnel would come out at approximately between 19th Street and Lincoln Harbor HBLR. Next problem: tunneling under Weehawken, Union City, North Bergen and the Meadowlands. I'm not sure from the article if Secaucus would be the only station, but there really isn't much between there and Lincoln Harbor except for maybe Kennedy Boulevard or Bergenline Avenue.
