  1. Sealteam1962, how's everything? Haven't your response about the petition thing on the 1 in 3 rule, anyway here's one thing we can do first. Write to the NYCTA and ask them to restore your name to the list. It's an option and it's mentioned in the 1 in 3 rejection letter we got.

     

    We got to move on this. Something doesn't look right. Did you notice that in all the years we were monitoring people on the list before ours, what was going on at Livingston Street, and DCAS we never heard anybody mention this 1 in 3 rule then all of a sudden here it is???? I don't get it.

  2. Sealteam: Last we communicated you said you had been let go because of the 1 in 3 rule. Just want to check with you to see how far into the hiring process you were just before you got the 1 in 3 letter. As far as me, I'm looking into consulting a lawyer about this.

    FDBguy told me he has to go on July 8th(Friday) and he is #474. I wonder how many

    B/O's they plan to hire since they only finished the last class about 1-2 months ago.

     

    Still undecided whether or not I am going to go this time around. I can wait a little

    longer if need be, if I was unemployed then yes I would go asap.

  7. if your hearing is corrected with the use of a hearing aid i dont see why you cant do your job,then the mta is denying a disabled worker who has the problem corrected a job.i know some kind of shit will hit the fan when the ada gets involved.
  8. that was discussed with me because a few years back many failed.solution is to file an appeal if you fail.see a private ear doctor submit his statements and results.then wait and keep calling so they dont forget you but i guess if your private ear doctor says that the amount of your hearing loss wont affect your job your good.i think ? but if you have hearing loss found my guess is to see if your allowed to wear a hearing aid many people do.but i would contact mta on the hearing loss procedures if a hearing aid is allowed.if they say no i would then get a lawyer and contact ada american disabilites association in nyc tell them because hearing loss is a disability and you are only gonna correct this and mta says no i would sue them for millions :tup:

  11. im 50 yrs old and cant do 25 yrs i want to do my 15 yrs for nycta ill be hired soon from exam 8006 how much will my monthly pension be for 15 yrs of service because when i hit 65 i am out.ill put as much away in 457-401k then get my social security.but what would i take home a month for 15 yrs.
  12. hi chris got 12 wrong on 8006 thought i aced the test oh well do you know what the score would be and how long to they start hiring from exam 8006 i heard they need a lot of drivers my whole class is practically wiped out on probation it seems they hire you and get rid of you as fast as they can for any thing i dont understand why especially at casey stengal they got to slow down there on firing people i know a lot of people are going to take a class action suit up with the dept of labor on that depot please reply

  13. hello chris i just called local 100 today they told me i wont have a problem coming back because i resigned they also told me i wont have to wait any amount of years i have to wait either i just have to go through the whole process again boss,medical,interview,zerega,line training but that was the union not human resoures that do the hiring i tried all day and could not contact anyone i ran into a brick wall did you hear anything please reply have a nice day kevin
