There’s a multilevel rail car parked on track 1 at the AC rail terminal.  IDK if it’s a cab car but it’s being used for training and practices on the AC Line

4210 is there as well all black Erie & Lackawanna. It’s a transfer; had 4 comets, 2 cab and 2 non cabs. The multilevel 7510 is a non cab car hooked with one comet cab car.

Now, im having a bit of second thoughts. On the one hand, being a conductor would provide stability. On the other hand, it'd be a slap to the post-secondary education and the BootCamp I'm doing right now. Aw man...

I’m well established in Nj Transit, making top pay and I’m having second thoughts but my ultimate goal is to make it to train operator. Sometimes you have to make a step back in life to go forwards

I don't mind it on the 126 as much mostly because the line is short and passenger flow on the 126 isn't that bad on an MCI.

The 150s, however, especially a reverse peak 158....HORRIBLE. And there's people that bring luggage onto the bus. I rode on a 22000 a few weeks ago on the 158 and the dwell time was forever.

I keep saying this, fairview needs to be an all exact fare lines. The dwell times are just too much with the mcis and full service on the Nabis/Artics. I could never be an operator at Fairview, it just looks too stressful and Bergenline would make me quit.

Is there going to be a difference between people who take it on April 21st and people who take it on April 28th? I’m taking mine on 28th so I’m curious.

I don’t think so, we have to be established on a list according to scores. It’s seems it’s more-so of when you filed for the exam. I filed for the exam on day 1.

Not everybody from WT is that bad. If you noticed about these MCI D4500CT buses, nobody wants to do the Philadelphia runs (401, 402, 406, 408, 410 & 412) but everybody’s quick on doing the 400 & 551, especially during the evening hours. And what’s this with location changes around WRTC?

Construction has Broadway closed at Federal Street and at Cooper Street.

  6. 18004, 18014, 18016, 18030, 18037, 18058, 16003. As im currently hearing none of those buses will return and will be a write off.

Twe gave them 18064-18068 and they had 19136/19143 to cover those buses. They complained we was getting too many buses, so they send newton Av back those 2 19000s, and took 17063/17069-17075.

13 buses from eht to replace 6 buses, make that make sense. Now we are short buses again. Only 10 decamp buses was available last night at 930pm rest are on hold until 10am to see if they can run to avoid depot delays.

Washington Twp is not a 24hr garage. On Saturday/Sundays 80% of their buses sit.

We help out with Washington Twp because the lack of manpower there, us helping with the 551/554 has nothing to do with the bus moves.

Heard 17075 went to Newton Avenue. Can someone confirm?

Also 6484 was spotted at Greenville yesterday. Unsure if thats going to be assigned to Greenville or its going to be assigned somewhere else like Meadowlands.

That bus is at Washington Twp getting decals. It was sent to EHT with no decals then EHT brought to Washington Twp for the decals and registers. Washington Twp is the baby CMF of the south.

It’s amazing they were able to keep the current fare structure on the bus side for as long as they have

Look what they tell us “let em ride”. All the free rides especially on the 319 adds up.

This is only one bus assuming all 55 ppl paid $42 round trip.

$55x$42=$2,310. Say you let 10ppl ride free because they use the same lame duck excuse; that is $420 in free rides. 319 runs 7 days a week, you start adding all that and you get a nice number in fare recovery by 12 months. Exact fare lines all run in the red because of the passengers throwing anything in there and you hitting the A key. Hell the 48 runs 27% in the red everyday. The 166 is a heavy line and runs 21% in the red. Why is the 166 red? Most of the people out of PABT never buy the correct ticket and magically need to go to 46 or Leonia.

Some of the buses we got from Coach USA/Academy still don’t have scanners

Hell the decamp 17s are hit and miss with scanners and if they do have them they don’t work lol. I stopped writing on the defect card about non working scanners; they don’t fix them anyway.

NJT is going to have to auction off some of these MCI’s. There’s just to many that are sitting or collecting dust.

They won’t do that. If anything garages that never had spares will finally get spares. Newton Av is the only garage that has too many buses, but it allows them keep their miles low.

Egg Harbor needs at least 15 spares, Howell had to give 5 buses to Westwood or Oradell, Washington Twp needs 15-20 spares. So I can see 21198-21276 being thrown to various garages.
