  1. I don’t know if anyone has answered you but no they haven’t been installed on the 9300’s yet.
  2. Or you can go to Fulton St and wait there.
  3. Well if vandalism really hit 4089, this justifies why cameras are in those trains. I just hope it was working and those who were doing it are caught and punished properly.
  4. Thank you for saying that. I love the R179’s but how can you compare them to the R211 when there’s only 2 of them on the road? Do all of this comparison crap next year. Let the R211 get its footing in and then we can talk. Meanwhile, I saw a set testing the other day so it’s great to see more of them preparing to hit the road. I’m ready to ride on more of them on the A. The R211: The new hotness
  5. Does anyone have any word as to when more R211’s will hit the property? I’m loving watching these trains come to town, I really am.
  6. This looks fantastic. Thank you for sharing that with us.
  7. Wow look at all those trains. Once that R211 passes the passenger test, the rest will come in like gang busters and I’m here for it!
  8. It’s in the middle of testing. You want these things to happen now and not after you got a whole lot of them already in so yes, what i said still stands, “working as designed”. 🤪
  9. If things were so bad with the pilot R211, they would not be in passenger service like it is right now. The MTA learned from the R179 & so far, things are working as designed. Let’s just enjoy the beginning of this brand new era we are entering into. It’s gonna be a trip!
  10. I’ve been on the R211 3 times now and the more I’ve ridden it, the more impressed I am with the train. It’s like an updated R160, which already runs fabulously. The lighting, from the overhead to the lights at the door are fantastic. I’m not a fan of less seats but I talked to someone at the MTA about that and they said they anticipate more people in wheelchairs riding the train as more stations get elevators, so I can’t argue with that. I’m very pleased with these trains and I can’t wait for more of them to arrive and to see where else they will go in the system.
  11. Why put cameras & screens where you can’t do anything with it? That is as idiotic as it gets, but then again, this is MTA management at its finest again 🙄.
  12. The way Railfans have been acting the last couple of years, why would they put that info up? Just so that more of these losers could come and jack these trains up? Come on now.
  13. A few of the ones I saw had them but a few still had the Jamaica stickers.
  14. The R211’s are going right where they need to go. The A & C need these trains and I’m glad they’re getting them.
  15. I saw a whole bunch of XD40’s on the Bx30 today. I was hoping to ride on one but i got a LFS Hybrid. I hope that they stay in Gun Hill but if it’s temporary, I will enjoy them for as long as they’re here.
  16. The 3rd Option Order wasn’t approved because the MTA was in the middle of a fiscal crisis in 2010 & that was the same time those infamous service cuts with the subway & buses took place. I remember when that news came out and I was very disappointed that we weren’t getting anymore R160’s.
  17. I agree with you 100%. It was useless. I stopped using it almost immediately after they put them on the buses.
  18. It’s past 12 years since they first got them so I’m wondering if there will be an order placed to replace them this year. They still ride well but they look like they’ve been in a 12-round TKO fight at MSG.
  19. No not until I made my post. The MTA made it all sound like they were doing something big to help the community when it was obvious they were full of crap. I hate how they lie to people like this when it comes to service. I hope changed come to the Bx23 & Q50 but I won’t hold my breath.
  20. Thank you for the info. I had a feeling the Xcelsior order was done but the LFS was the big question mark. I hope they finish soon.
  21. I can’t speak for the others but as one who rode the QBx1 back in the day, I’m not looking for that route to return, I just want better service. I would be happy to get back the service that was there before June 2022. There was and still is a lot of potential with the Q50 and even the Bx23 that the MTA isn’t tapping into and we are suffering because of it. It stinks.
  22. It’s true. They increased the amount of buses during rush hour but they never increased it outside of it. The buses are more crowded than I’ve ever seen it since it became the Bx23. The Q50 is desperately needed back into Co-op City past rush hour. Hell make that the main bus to Pelham Bay instead of the Bx23. It’s gotten really bad now.
  23. More priority where? The Bx23 is worse now than it’s ever been.
