Looking this over for the last hour or so. Had to point out something.

68+92+25+25 is 210. Seeing there is no 9410-9499 I feel there might be a mistake.

What I noticed is to get 210 we have to take in account that we have a 110 base order and an 84 option, totaling 194. So one more look, we get 194 in total.

So 9400-9415 make up the missing 16 to make 210. Would it be that another 16 buses are added to the option order or is there a possible error on assignment count?

Because there was an error on my math and I thought I fixed it. But Its Quill, Quill is getting 76 not 92. Also, 1607-1628 are the options on the Prevost, I had to double-check but the paperwork I see says 1607-1628, not 29, which means they only took 22 options and not 23. Nonetheless, the options have been taken but have not been assigned.

a few things (barring any further changes)

so, hunnit street gets new units for the m31 (which moves those 39xx's lord knows where)... while MV gets it's entire fleet replaced in one shot (give or take... I'm not sure that's an accurate assumption/assessment) so before the 'how come Manhattanville never gets new buses?' bs starts again... THIS is why. OF's allotment increased by 8. so, no xde40's for CS... they'll get strictly diesel novas instead. no LFS diesels for East NY, redistributed between JA & CS. .. I'm slightly disappointed. would've been nice to see those on the B14/17 or B45/65. am i missing something as to the reason why SC will receive 10 less units?

I'll reserve further judgment, as nothing is set in stone with these deliveries.

That is a typo on my part, Spring Creek is getting 35.

  3. MAJOR changes in New NYMTA Bus Deliveries...

    2021 Nova LFS HEV #9620-9910
Tuskegee 20 (will be first), Kingsbridge 25, Manhattanville 226, Gun Hill 20

    2021 New Flyer XDE40 #9510-9619, 9416-9499
Hale 68 (will be first), Quill 92, ENY 25, Grand 25

    2021-22 Nova LFS Diesel #8755-8963
Jamaica 60 (will be first), Stengel 79, Queens Village 50, Castleton 20

    2021-22 New Flyer XD40 #7851-7989
Fresh Pond 39 (will be first), ENY 40, Flatbush 40, Ulmer Park 20

    2021-22 Prevost X3-45 #1300-1628
College Point 82, Eastchester 48, Meredith 50, Far Rockaway 23, Yonkers 39, Spring Creek 25, Bailey Park 8, LaGuardia 22

As always, Subject to Change (as this is the 3rd change)

  4. Addendum to my post above.

Option #1 has been taken, so it will be 80 GILLiG Low Floor CNG buses in the first year instead of 60 leaving 2 options on the table, 40 and 45 buses respectively. NICE will have 6 years to exercise the 2 remaining options, but it's expected that the remaining two options will be exercised in 2022. This order will clear out all of the Orion VII Next Generation/Gen III CNGs, leaving the Orion VII EPA10/Gen IV CNGs to be replaced at a later date.

At this time it is unknown what body style has been chosen, but my educated guess will be that it is the standard box style and not the BRT option but we will see.

Well, nobody's really ordering LFSes, for whatever reason. There are only a handful of operators whereas XE40s are all over the place. I don't really know why but it seems like Nova is behind on the electric technology by a fair amount. TTC was only going to do one or the other, no reason to disrupt the fleet with a non-Canadian brand like Proterra or Chinese BYD. New Flyer has been better out of the gate but they haven't really achieved long-distance range solution for XE40s, from what I understand. The XE60s are much better on range. Next step is New Flyer putting the electric tech into MCIs, and I believe Van Hool is licensing Proterra's battery equipment for its fleet.

Nova is playing it smart. Instead of just jumping into the Electric game like New Flyer did trying to play catch up to Proterra because Proterra has the most AEBs on the road than any manufacturer, Nova is doing its research and doing all of its testing in Canada in the the cold climate to make sure their product meets expectations. The LFSe+ is the result of that and now they are taking orders for them with Vancouver and Brampton being the first two for production units. I can guarantee you, you're about to see Nova more in the Electric market now that they solidified the product. I like how they do, solidify the product then jump in the ring, and its not too late either as Electrics are just REALLY starting to off, so they aren't far behind if behind at all.

Wish they didnt order more diesels. 500 Hybrids would be better considering the climate crisis.

Well the truth of the matter is, that Clean Diesel is now just as clean as Hybrid-Electrics and the only REAL reason to get Hybrids now is more so for the tax breaks.

Are the XD40s options going to be taken? I can only assume that since the pandemic , and budget constraints that it may or may not happen . And if so at a later time?

The options for the 84 additional XDE40s and 139 XD40s are still available but have not been exercised and it is unknown if or when it will be.

    Just saw the post.

    It was from Trevor Logan.

Why other people insisted on being mysterious about this source is beyond me, especially how much he has contributed to the community.

Thank You. Yes I am the source. It is a multi-year contract with 60 buses on the first year. This contract will ultimately replace all of the Orion VII 3rd/Next Gen CNGs as well as the Orion VII EPA10 4th Generation CNGs.

Now all the talk about quality and what not and I am by far NO fan of GILLIG, BUT in the last 3-4 years since moving to the new Livermore Facility, the GILLIG product has strengthened and I'd bet my life on a GILLIG before an Xcelsior. GILLIG suffers from the same stigma like the Eldorado where their past haunts their present. The new ENC Axess is a bad ass bus after visiting the ENC manufacturing facility and seeing how they have changed their build process. Again, I'd bet my life on a Axess before an Xcelsior.

My bad bro, didn't know how hard it is to run a site like that. For some reason I thought anyone can edit it like Wikipedia.

Not even close, when I do update the bus roster it takes me almost 2 hours. Because I go through each Depot double checking stuff that's retired, various movements, double and triple checking various information aside from physically typing out the wiki.

Anyone know why this site doesn't seem to update it's roster as quickly?

    http://ttmg.org/transitwiki/Insider's_Guide:_Metropolitan_Transportation_Authority_Bus_Operations_-_Depot_Summary

Sometimes it can be neglected for more than a month.

Considering that I'm rebuilding 1851 pages on the MAIN site of ttmg.org, Watermarking nearly 25,000 photos all while working a full time job and taking care of two buses... I'd say relax and wait a sec.

I checked the TTMG Fleet Roster page and for the 2018-19 XD40s 7484-7850 it said all the buses in that order have the Cummins EPA 17 L9 engine, including 7615-7684, and buses delivered with the standard blue scheme. Yet you say that buses delivered after 7572 will have the L9 engine. Is there an error in the TTMG Fleet roster that needs to be changed?

well seeing as how I'm responsible for the TTMG roster, I have not corrected the information because I was away on vacation for the last 3 weeks, so it will take a bit for me to catch everything back up, patience is a virtue!

  12. 7572...

OK, here is the story with this bus, there was a spec change, but its not the destination sign as everyone was thinking. 7572 is the beginning of the order where the engine was changed from the Cummins ISL9 to the Cummins L9. That is the only difference between that bus and the others. 7572 and up will be powered with a Cummins L9 engine. That is all.

Okay, so here's the problem with all this:

Firstly, those fleet assignments for the XD60's aren't fully updated, things have already changed and will change more before the buses are sent out. I'm not just saying that out the wind, both @East New York & @The Real have made it clear that there's changes with both the new XD60's and XD40's, and they'd fully release that information when the right time comes.

As I've been told however, ENY, as of right now, and what seems to be a permanent DOB decision (could be only temporary, but I was told permanent) isn't getting any articulated buses.

Flatbush's 57-bus XD60 fleet, is supposed to include the 28 for peak B44 SBS service, 10 spares, and 19 buses for the B44 Local. That was the original plan, as I believe was mentioned in the forums by either @East New York or @The Real. Is that plan still moving forward? I'm not sure - since I don't have access to what they do, and the B46+ is now supposed to receive artics. However if it is, it would seem that those 17 artics slated for ENY would go to Flatbush instead for the B46+.

Note: In order for the entire B46 SBS to go artic, they'd only need 25 buses, that includes a generous amount of spares, on top of the 10 artic spares they have.

As of the most current information, the XD60s slated for Flatbush Depot are for replacements of the Novas on the B44 +selectbusservice and to expand artic operation to the B46 +selectbusservice. However, there will still be a small number of XD40s left behind in +select service.
