  1. There is buses all over the system for repairs especially if a location is overloaded....You got 4505 at EC for repairs, 9308 at CP for repairs. IIRC, some shops specialize in certain maintenance practices and remember too, JG was a RTS depot, hell every depot was a RTS depot at one point so it should not be far fetched to send buses to other depots for work.
  2. 433-435 and 437 arrived a JG. 4950 & 9057 are both still assigned to EN, they are at JG for maintenance work.
  3. 801 is sitting in College Point, but its on the official DOA list.
  4. 838, 871, 892, 896, 909 are now officially dead. 5801 has moved to GH.
  5. You see the buses with the license plates missing, those are the buses that are TRULY dead and gone. Buses with plates can be either moved or reactivated thus aren't completely on the retired list yet and considered in the MTA database as an active bus.
  6. [quote name=MTA Bus' timestamp='1344174681' post='566254] College Point has a NovaBus ? Is this temporary or what ? Its a loaner I believe. I D K, Database shows it as an in service bus still, the big question is, does it still have plates on it.
  7. MTA Bus Operations Depot Roster, Updated as of August 5th @ 9:25AM with the most current information available... http://www.ttmg.org/mediawiki/index.php?title=MTA_Regional_Bus_Operations_Depot_Roster
  8. Updated as of 1:20 today... Due to the issue with the 2002-03 D60HF Thermo King HVACs, There is Five [5] CS 5900s at MQ and Seven [7] CS 5900s at KB, the rest are at CS where they should be. Also, due to the frequency in which these 5900s have been moving and since they are loaners only, the roster reflects them being at CS as they will be back at CS by the end of the weekend. http://www.ttmg.org/...ns_Depot_Roster
  9. The fleet moves have gone to hell....ENJOY! http://www.ttmg.org/mediawiki/index.php?title=MTA_Regional_Bus_Operations_Depot_Roster
  10. I have learned as of today.....4002, 8017, 3741 and 3548 are not off the roster and are awaiting repairs and returns to service. Depending on the circumstances and the insurances, will determine how long said buses are out.
  11. Has nothing to do with the age of the bus but the registration time on the CNG tanks which can range anywhere from 12 to 15 years. It takes more to re-register the tanks than the bus is worth. The only time you do a re-cert is if A) You're doing a full rebuild of the bus or B) You're doing a repower of the bus...outside of that its not worth it. It's cheaper to just replace the bus,.
  12. Retiring the 800-900s due to age and to make room for the 200-300-400s.
  13. http://www.ttmg.org/mediawiki/index.php?title=MTA_Regional_Bus_Operations_Depot_Roster Current as of 2:43pm Today.
  14. Like I said, I wasn't trying to be an a**hole or anything, I just don't understand where you were going with what you asked.
  15. No to sound like an a**hole, but you aren't "owed" an explanation as to why I set the depot roster up the way it is. It is all self explanatory if you look at the entire roster which has titles as to what is what. MVH even went out his way to explain what is what. If you can see the information clearly, I honestly believe that is what matters...am I right or wrong?
  16. Actually there is no true separation, all depots are MTA RBO depots. Even then you were still, ENY, FB, FP, OS, JA and QV all have 1996 Nova RTSs running. There is some gaps, its not all straight through.
  17. No..... ENY, FB, FP, OS, JA and QV for NYCB Deports with 1996 RTSs AND JK and LG for MTAB Depots
  18. NYMTA Depot by Depot Roster Updated as of 8:50PM http://www.ttmg.org/mediawiki/index.php?title=MTA_Regional_Bus_Operations_Depot_Roster Enjoy!
  19. Kick that bone to another dog. The overall general quality of buses out of LG compared to its sister garages is bare bottom! Look at every MTAB depot's fleet compared to LG's. Even JFK got its act together almost immediately following its take over and JFK/Green Lines was the worst of the worst with Triboro. It is what it is...I understand that its your "home" depot, but whats rolling around on the street is proof of the pudding. Maybe if the drivers and folks that are holding onto their PBL ways and PBL days would just conform and be happy that they even HAVE a job because they could've EASILY ended up like the LIB guys, then maybe the quality of the product coming out of that depot will improve GREATLY but until then...
  20. This is true, I've seen buses that were in decent to great shape end up at LG and in less than 3 months look like they're at EOL. Those Bee Line Orion Vs were PERFECT when they came to BP and LG. The BP units are in far better shape than the units at LG. But you know what they say Grand, Old habbits die hard....and there is still very much a Triboro Coach feel at LG in terms of care of equipment.
