  1. I have a question ? If this happend during rush would service still Be out? Something tells me no! Anyone agree?
  2. This morning they wrote that there was challenges switching trains .i don’t get what the real problem is .Sounds like this was planned last minute with no prep whatsoever.
  3. I think it would be good for the (N) to run local all way with the (R) to 57/7 from 59th st in Brooklyn during this shutdown.A lot of commuters would complain but the end result would be a LOT less merging . I saw on subway time tonight at times lots of tranins trying to get in S/B at 36th st.If my plan would be there would Be no merging whatsoever!
  4. Atlantic Ave Junction . Utica Ave Some things that contribute I think are how far underground they are and also I heard the new trains air conditioners make stations hot.
  5. It was VERY short.Subway time showed F trains going through Rutgers around 12:30 pm Already I believe .
  6. I don’t get why sometimes they have to turn power off in a whole section. Let’s say Grand army plaza and train power off. Do they have to turn power off on the local tracks or also the express as well?
  7. Tonight there was no Service on 4th ave in Brooklyn from about 8:45 to around 9:30 pm or so. Was crazy the platform at Atlantic Ave southbound was dangerously packed. The worst part was that no announcements were made . At least if announments were made people would know to get an Uber etc...
  8. It would be nice if something could be done about all the incidents that’s involve one person but that’s life i guess.
  9. Not sure what happenend but it was a good move to have the (5)s running local manhattan bound. It seems the trains got stuck in a way that it blocked all Rogers junctions trains and they couldn’t take that risk during the rush . They said the train in the morning lost power . I wonder if the air conditioning shut off.I hope not.also many times when a train goes BIE in the same area multiple times Probobaly it’s a signal/rail/switch problem . In this case they had to change the service to avoid more problems.
  10. That’s what it was showing beofre it stopped. It wasn’t working for the longest time .Now it started again . My best part is the history of how long the trip took. Unforunely from iOS 10 it doesn’t show the seconds anymore so you don’t really know if the train is in Service or now .
  11. Do they still use the loop to turn trains?
  12. The website livetrain.nyc has come back to life. Not sure if it’s permenant though.
  13. Subway time does show an (F) on 6th Ave But nothing on Broadway.Hopfully it’s not true . But I can’t imagine all is dandy with Service change not really being planned out . I wonder what happenend anyway.I see trains we’re not running on 6th ave Saturday morning but what was the issue that required this
  14. If there is a problem at 145 can the (1) just simply just skip that station ?
  15. Why couldn’t the southbound go to Myrtle? Why couldn’t the southbound go to Myrltle?
  16. I’m happy that the MTA is starting to say “a train,s emergency brakes were automatically activated” . It sounds a little weird but it’s the truth vs “a train with mechanical problems”. Probobaly some passengers think “What.? How many trains are emergency brakes automatically activated? It feels like a lot but it’s not really a lot.
  17. The MTA rarely admits that people are outside a station waiting . That being said I’m wondering if they really had be in the tunnel/outside a station. If it’s outside maybe they can walk to the nearest station (being that power was off anyway) or it’s too dangerous since people may fall down below ? In any case both incidents are not the MTA’s fault so people shouldn’t bash them about being late for work . im wondering though if they had to turn off power on all tracks in both incidents
  18. It’s Schedules usually .at that station you don’t reallt need it.But it would help at Botanic Garden and Park Place cause the times could vary by a few min.
  19. Does anyone know why the Franklin Ave (S) can never work on subway time. Many times it Dosent even display Scheduled times. Its not the most crucial line but if I’m getting off the train at Franklin ave/Botanic Garden it would be useful to know if a train came in or didn’t yet.
  20. I’m wondering if the MTA limited congestion by running some trains express I don’t think they really had a choice if they wanted Service to run sort of normal till there
  21. One good thing they could have done if avaliable was to run some (B) and (D) the express from Jay St or Smith 9 to Church Ave and reverse it back.
  22. Maybe it would have been a good idea to run some trains via Broadway to 96 st but they didn’t do that or suspend it . They thought the best thing was just to run some via the and line which is ok I guess until that fire came up at Avenue I. That must have been crazy turning 4 lines at Church Ave.Is that even possible ?
  23. I still don’t understand what happened yesterday morning I wasn’t there but it Seems an (R) was stalled due to some signal problem.I still think it’s not fair for customers to have to sit on a train due to signal problems can’t the train have left and they could have taken care of the problem later.Am I missing something?
  24. Now they say that’s signal problems but How did that train end up there for so long?
