When a train goes BIE because of a signal problem what happens.Everyone sits on the train till they fix it? (I've noticed this has been happening in the 60th street tube and I'm wondering what happens with the people on these trains)

2 days ago I thought my train went into emergency I liked freaked out but they driver said he was just charging up or something . But it would be nice it there was some other solution for this problem .

Is the MTA in the mood to post every BIE today so far it posted maybe 10 today

Tonight I witnessed a BIE from start to finish.heres what happened: n/b leaves Atlantic and then goes BIE. They do indeed investigate the BIE not sure if they found anything probobaly not.what I thought was not right was that only the first 2 door panels were outside of the station.i think it would have been only right to let customers off somehow.key open door panel from every car or open the last 5 cars and let the front people to exit to first5. One lady got really mad but it happenend right at the end.Any thoughts?

Or trying to notify the next train that there is an issue before it reaches the the next station.or making a quicker desicion to,wrong rail back to precious station.

I noticed the MTA has been sending out a lot of emails for people to remain inside of train.My question is is there any other way to not strand passengers.Maybe let them exit somehow. Stranding people Ina tunnel is reply bad thing besides for clastraphobia (which I have) people are late to work and stuff.

Looks like it happened on southbound local.Southbound express is closed therefore only choice is to shut down line.they did post alternatives pretty well on website.I give them credit.They could have posted nothing.

looks like t least 2 trains went BIE then they posted signal problems then some northbound 5,s were via 2.Then they just shut down the whole tunnel to fix whatever problem it was.My question is once one train goes BIE the next train that goes BIE same spot has to do an investigation ? That's annoying to sit in a tunnel for at least 20 minutes.It happened to me once they found some debris on the track.

According to my app most uptown 6 trains were held in stations.
