  1. Ok so there may be some truth to 3802 being at CAS. The buses have finally passed the audit inspection and are being delivered as of right now. The first 17 buses will be here over the next 2 weeks. Several of them have already begun their trip from upstate NY. They will head over to Jersey before being deliverd to Zerega. Some of which are already there. So the big Question..... Is 3802 here???? I don't know about the number for sure, but it is definitely an NG. And as I stated earlier, this first lot will have the old battery packs on the roof.

    Happy Hunting!!!

what depot will it be in?

  2. So progress on the NG's seems to be coming along at a better pace. But get this! The fisrt batch to be delivered will have the old hybrid system! What's up with that??? Aparently the upgraded system with A123 lithium ion batteries won't make it into our NG's untill 2009! Stay tuned for an "old" NG!

    yeah baby thank god

  3. Last I heard they were trying to incorporate the changes in to demo, so they can ramp up production and start delivering the buses. I haven't talked to my guy at Orion in a while.

well can u call him now or once you get back to NYC. we need something to talk about about the NG

  4. Oh okay. I'm not sure if they are to MTA specs or not. I don't think the seats are, unless the TA is making some changes.

yeah exactly aren't most buses suppose to have more than 40 seats to become a standard buses.

  5. Our O7 NG's will be unique. They have options never before seen on a line haul transit bus, unlike any other NG operator. These buses will basicly be custom made for MTA.

no i meant the pull cords and the seating

  6. Yup, that is correct. Some people pointed it out right from the moment they arrived at the roadeo when they saw pull cords on the bus, I know I noticed that QUICKLY. Now, there were quite a few other things pointed, mainly by Trevor Logan when he took a look at the bus. The bars on the back doors, the schedule racks, the grey walls, the exterior side LED lights, the interior LED lights, and the mirrors, all not MTA specs. Almost everything else was fine. Now, another things, had North Carolina plates in the back, another immediate giveaway. Also, for it to be in service, it must have a license plate in the front I heard, which it didn't have. So, what does that mean, the bus has not been in service.

And the other "supposedly* buses that are here, 3801, and 3805, doesn't exist in New York City! I knew it from day one.

when i ask someone about the Orion NG not appearing on Sunday at the Roadeo. he said it was damage, and he also told me the seating arrangement is not official. the total capacity is suppose to be 43 seats. 24 seats in the front 2x2. and 19 in the back. the seating is suppose to be short-coach seats seating. the seats seen at the roadeo was just to test it. he doesn't know about if 3800 is a real bus or not.

  7. It is confirmed that bus numbers #3800 and *3801 was delivered on June 13, 2008.It is not yet in service so whosever out there saying they saw it, shut up. The ordered bus numbers are 3800-4544. Bus numbers for (MTA)Bus is still pending. Some MCIs are being renumbered due to the order. Numbers are still pending. So again whosever saying they seen or have a video of the bus it is not true. Silll at Zerega.

  8. as from some people from transitstuff the 3800 was pulled from castleton this morning and put on idle at castleton. but meanwhile the 3801 is running on the S78 so if you are a patient person and a willing to wait person , you can catch it a st. george.
