  1. I just went down there today. All the sections from track are sittin by the Portal, stacked, with the blocks still on them. Looks like a Diesel went down there not too long ago because the rails had a light coat of rust on them by Costco. The way things look now, looks like there wont be any moves for anything unless they send a low-boy truck to 2nd avenue, and load/unload from the street. I need to ask around why the project is taking so long.

  2. Damn. Alright I will grab a few photos for Peter D. The track curves out to 1st avenue, then stops at the sidewalk. I never get a chance to see the project being worked on. Well, thanks anyway.

  3. Hey. Do you happen to know any info on the track project in South Brooklyn recently? Last I been there, they were starting to build the new yard lead. Im thinkin of taking a trip down there to grab a few photos of the construction. It's been a while anyway. If you can, Just let me know. Thanks.

  4. Throw in the horns from the work trains.

  6. I see me and Ingrid on the platform at the Stadium.
  7. You have to use a roll sign changer. Hex key is what the foamers use.
  8. Work still has not moved since the summer. There was a work train down there at the end of August, on a Saturday. The other end of the roadbed is still ended by the small wall for a fence by the sidewalk.
  9. Was an excellent trip, was at the front talking to a few adults, while the foamers screamed towards the middle of the car.
  10. To be technical on this case, it's not One Under in NYPD Terms, that one under in TA, PD had a D.O.A. in this one.
  11. Excellent FIND (literally) With the Fox shuttle to 15th.
  12. Only way it's ever possible to go from 179 to 205 is from 179 to STL, and without discharging, continue it's trip up North Via West End, 6th avenue, Central Park West, then Concourse. Do you realize how long of a route that is? All crews would do about a 1 trip and a half at most. Plus, how many miles is that?
  13. Huh? The one on the line looks like a piece of cake compared to the I.C.E. bullet train!
  14. If you need the whole list, have it in a file, tell me if you want it, i'll send it in an e-mail.
  15. Understood. What would probably happen now, is that the TA will sell off a few parts like the End Roll Sign, and etc... Those scraps most likely will not see Weeks 297 and just be shipped off through South Brooklyn. BTW, did you see the progress going on down there lately? Last I checked, they built a new roadbed through the parking lot. I believe Skanska (contractor) needs to knock down a short wall into the sidewalk and continue the roadbed on 1st avenue.
  16. Ah, so there is more then. Only from a distance I seen they they looked like they were still in operable condition, but of course, you should know anyway. Thanks for the info. Do you know how many sets are sitting there stripped?
  17. All I know, is that there are about 4, may be 5 sets that have been Moth Balled in C.I.Y. with a few still in service on the Charlie.
  18. Exactly, Bill. Maximum air flow is reached when one or more of the car body windows are open, followed by the cab window opened to let air circulate, but now you get a railfan who did not shower, and the air flow blows right through the person standing by the door, and makes the small fill the cab.
  19. Makes me wonder where the truck landed and stopped...
  20. Alright, I miss operating the 46's on the Fox. Lots of fun back in 2004, 2005, and 2006. Those cars were and STILL are VERY comfortable to operate.
  21. This would be the perfect time to work either the Franklin Shuttle, or even better, the Rockaway Park shuttle.
