  1. Not sure if this was the right place to post this. The MAN Lion's City buses are my favorite. But as I was looking at pictures I noticed every bus has a flat cylindrical object sitting on top of the bus at the rear. I noticed that on the 12m buses there are only 2 but the 18m buses have 4, 2 on each section. I recently found a picture of a 12m CNG bus that has 3 of these objects on the roof In this picture you can see the objects on the roof over the rear sign and you can see it again in this picture, the 2 objects are next to the last rooftop emergency hatch You can also see it on all of the buses in this picture as well I know the MAN Lion'S City buses are most common in Europe and Spain. Does anyone what what these objects or devices are? I'm trying to shine some light on this since I have no clue what these objects are. I hoping anyone would know more about these buses than me.
  2. Last week Silverliner V #702 got it's interior wrapped to promote the new American Spirits exhibit at the National Constitution Center. 702 is now the first Silverliner V and Regional rail car to feature a interior wrap. However it's the 3rd train car to ever have one here at SEPTA. SEPTA is calling this car the "Speakeasy Silverliner" take a look for yourself! I have more pics in my album in photobucket http://s752.photobucket.com/albums/xx166/TRANSIT_FREAK/2010-12%20Hyundai%20Rotem%20Silverliner%20V/

  14. Yes!, the world is coming back to the better days of my life! I never thought I would live to see this day. I was in the 2nd grade when the twin towers were struck, now I am 16 years old.
  15. Collect-Corner just released an articulated plastic model NABI 60-BRT that can bend! They only offer the model in the WMATA local livery.
  16. Bolt bus and Megabus have stops a few yards away at 30th st. There is practically no space in Philly for the 2 to join together in one building. I can't stand it when buses transit and trailway terminate in the middle of a block in the middle of a street block and call that their last stop. I hate for Megabus to have a major transit hub at that 30th street stop. I_
  17. From railroad.net, the Silverliner V's are ready to begin their testing. They will be testing on the Airport Line. http://railroad.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=72&t=71807
  18. If you look on Railroad.net SEPTA forum, the other railfans are pointing out how bad the welding is by the front ends of the cars. The welding is bad it looks like you can pull the exterior apart!
  19. Because the driver is not in the vehicle when you board. Plus they switch drivers at layover when you board. So to make things easier you pay when you get off. The only routes you pay when you get off is the victory/red arrow routes that operate at 69th st terminal. I caught myself doing the opposite on suburban vehicles. I pay when I get on. :)B)
  20. The production models will have full width cabs.
  21. From my sources, it will only be testing close to the Wayne electric shops. You will only be able to see on the main line and possibly the Chesnut Hill east and west lines.
