  1. Carbon and harp from the trolley slider that is used on the R17 to take power from the trolley wires up at the Shore Line Trolley Museum. The one on the left is the one that was on it and replaced with the one on the right.
  2. No. Generally, games that require a HDD install usually install 4GB-6GB of data. They don't install the whole game.
  3. No. Installation was not implemented to thwart off piracy. It was to supplement the slow Blu-Ray disk read speeds. Trust me on this I got myself a little toy that allows me to play any backed up PS3 game on my my PS3 without owning the disk.
  4. Nope. While both formats eventually later in development started using the same video codec, initially HD-DVD had the better codec than Blu-Ray. Now regarding the PS3/360 issue, the Blu-Ray drive in PS3s have a slower read speed than the 360s DVD drive. 1X DVD speed is 1350 kilobytes per second, 1X Blu-Ray speed is 4608 kilobytes (36 megabits) per second. So: 2X Blu-ray drive is 9,216 kilobytes per second, or 9 megabytes per second and 12X DVD is 16,200 kilobytes per second, or almost 16 megabytes per second. So as you can see, the 360 technically will load data quicker. To circumvent that issue, game developers tend to duplicate game information on Blu-Ray disks to provide quicker read speeds. You also have to take into consideration that most PS3 games require you to install a portion of the game onto the hard disk which of course will give the false sense of illusion that the Blu-Ray drive is reading the game quicker than the 360.
  5. Capacity is irrelevant when it offers slow read data speeds. VHS had longer recording times compared to Betamax but it was technically inferior to Betamax in terms of quality but it only took dominance in the market because JVC helped convince people that longer recording times were more important. HD-DVD offered less capacity but the picture quality was superior and offer more interactive menus versus Blu-Ray which still has very, very basic DVD style menus.
  6. Might be a failed format but it's the superior format in every way. It only failed due to studios dropping support for HD-DVD in favor of more cash from the Blu-ray Disc Association.
  7. The Clockwork Orange was my favorite reference in this week's South Park episode. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9BjpcK7MdM
  8. The Call of Cthulhu was published in 1928. Technically there is no "correct" pronunciation, since his name is supposed to be an alien language which we humans do not have the right vocal chords to pronounce the alien accents properly but the de facto pronunciation is kuh-thoo-loo.
  9. Never read any H.P Lovecraft stories? You should read The Call of Cthulhu. He was referenced in this weeks South Park Episode.
  10. Hey Mr. LRG, Learn Cthulhu's language so that when he rises from his slumber and ready to rule over earth for thousands of years, you'll be ready. Vote Cthulhu in 2012 for President!

  13. Big deal. Get back to me when you can keep it at that clock rate and not let the battery die in less than an hour.
  14. This game does not suck. Gonna have to file this under my "you don't know what you're talking about" folder.
  15. Not enough depth of a story? Dude, it's f**king Sonic. Since when did any of the Sonic games on the Genesis have any story?
  16. Confirm download? Hell yes, I want me some Sonic!
  17. That is from this years members day up at BERA.
  18. People who say "Great shots" "AWESOME PICTURES" on pictures which is without a doubt obviously, that they look like shit.
