  1. Good afternoon all. 

    I've been looking into more information regarding the engineering hiring for MNRR. 
    The initial hiring test has been completed, and I passed, and I'm assuming the background information checked out too, because I've received another email inviting me to the selective attention testing sometime this coming week. I'm assuming the interview will come afterwards -- can anyone provide details on the upcoming interview? What's it like?

    I've been an BO for 7+ plus years and looking for a change.
    I heard there's a way to bring over retirement time if you talk to the proper people and such. 
    What's the word?

  2. Did anyone receive their results for SA #6600?

    My lady took it at Brooklyn Tech on Sunday, 12/13/15 (AM).

     

    We contacted DCAS but there's no record of her SSN on file, so we spoke with an representative who couldn't find anything on 6600, and said we probably have to call MTA directly. 

     

    Any ideas?

  3. Why is it odd? It's just a bus #, and it is from EN. UP is borrowing buses because they're short as hell. 4858,4884,4887,4888,4890,4896,4899 are still

    Out at the Vendor. 5088 was dragged out of the yard to EC, 9614 was dragged to CMF, 5081 has the doors taken off, no trans, and other buses are out of the building as well. 5052, 5134, 5194 & 5196 Are at UP from FB they're borrowing from them as well.

    5041 was sent over earlier today (they had a few UP ops come over to pick em up).

     

    But, these are in fact borrowed buses, most definitely.

    Prepayment? This should be implemented at all busy transfer points, with slips shown to the driver when they're available (they would need to make text on the slips bigger, because those things look like they're in 8 pt font...)

     

    SBS is just a scheme to make the feds pay for capital improvements, and so far, it appears to be working.

    That, actually, would be a waste of time, though the theory 'sounds' doable, you can't have both paying-at-the-farebox passengers and also ticket passengers boarding the same bus, as it would cause confusion, and folks really would take advantage of this honor system. It's either one or the other. There's a reason for pre-boarding payment methods, to allow the agents to work thoroughly in catching farebeaters and such.
