  1. It's better to have a train with one car closed off, instead of an entire train out of service. Especially during the rush
  2. None of our cars have that capability lol. One has to go to every door panel and individually lock (isolate) every door. More than likely, something happened in that car (blood, vomit, a turd lol, etc) and instead of taking the entire train out of service, they just closed that car off and it'll be dealt with at the end of the line.
  3. From the pictures I've seen, it looks like it'll be open by June 25 like they planned
  4. It's wayyyyy to early to be thinking about numbers when we ding even know who's building them. It can also serve as a parts and Rosie center afterwards
  5. Running hot/X minutes up = earlyX minutes down = late
  6. You can legally still ride through City Hall loop. Bowling Green loop on the other hand, is illegal
  7. Plans changed. The buses Grand Av was gonna get are going to Quill instead.
  8. RD344. Ex-R22 7441. It's used as their de-icer car, and has been there for years now.
  9. I'm just realizing when 4811 got repainted, they gave it back doors. I'm on it now and it got another repaint with white doors
  10. Because they're grateful that a train shows up
  11. Given the current setup of the WB B6/82 near Rockaway Pkwy, them using Glenwood in both directions would be a huge improvement. That backwards loop routing they take now is ridiculous, and it would stop the confusion at that stop on Flatlands/E. 96 St. My only gripe with this SBS routing is that all the time it saved abandoning the backwards loop routing would all be negated sitting in Rockaway Pkwy traffic
  12. D1: Manhattan bound local trackD2: Jamaica bound local track D3: Manhattan bound express track D4: Jamaica bound local track D5: relay track T1: Manhattan bound track T2: Jamaica bound track
  13. It started at South Ferry. Went up Water St, Bowery, 1 Av, across 23 St to 2 Av and all the way up 2 Av with both local and express service. Stops were... -South Ferry (all) -Hanover Sq (all) -Fulton St (all) -Chatham Sq (all) -Canal St (local) -Grand St (local) -Rivington St (local) -1 St (local) -8 St (local) -14 St (all) -19 St (local) -23 St-1 Av(local) -34 St-2 Av (local) -42 St (all) -50 St (local) -57 St (local) -65 St (local) -72 St (local) -80 St (local) -86 St (all) -92 St (local) -99 St (local) -105 St (local) -111 St (local) -117 St (local) -121 St (local) -125 St (all) -129 St (all)
  14. With the original layout of the system (we not gonna get into detail about the specifics lol) after 14 St-Union Sq was Grand Central on the platform. After that was 72 St-Bway since Times Sq (at that tine) wasn't a huge hustle and bustle area like it is now. Tines Sq on the Shuttle platform was a local station.
  15. They almost always do that, even the M60 would. It depends on the day and how bad traffic is
  16. That had nothing to do with the since all trains this weekend are going up to 96 St because of the being out
  17. The closest to being double decked we have are 239 St and ENY, and those are just yards with 2 levels to them
  18. R68As on the are nowhere near rare. Since the is out of Coney Island with the naturally they share cars
  19. That's not completely true. Since the R32s are of the SMEE family, many parts are shared with other cars (a big advantage), plus there's parts from 32s that were reefed that they saved. And with the museum cars, many parts are made in-house
