  1. On a completely unrelated topic I can't believe the people who perceive that they have these "safe places" online to share criticism. Poorly constructed, fallacious, and nonfactual criticism at that.

I have something to say to them. This is the world wide web, once you're in for good there is no going back. Your entire life as you know it is on here, so to have the perception that you can get away with baseless criticism is flawed. With the vast world wide social media landscape that exists in our present day I can find out everything about your dumbass with nothing more than some typing, five clicks and a swil of coffee for good measure. I suggest that be kept in mind.

Furthermore, being that it is likely the person being criticized will find the content through one method or another why would it be that the person would attempt to poorly conceal the subject matter? Right, I forgot, because it is contradicting the actual events that took place.

At this point all of you must be wondering what I'm getting at. In contrast to my supposed antagonist I'm going to come out and say it.

Austin, watch what you say. You may under the impression that you have the upper hand in part being to logistical differences but that doesn't mean you're safe forever. All it takes is some free time and enough motivation to get from Jurupa Valley to Manalapan. 2727 miles may be an impediment to you but for I it is quite the contrary.

So, enjoy your distant sheltered life while you can. When you find the motivation to leave the toilet you call home I'll be out in the five boroughs.

And remember, best check yourself before you wreck yourself.

    Signed,

Not best to get worked up over a child throwing a tempertantrum.

  2. There was a R142 on the (5) @ Dyre Avenue that had the (7) announcements hardwired into the intercom system, caught on video apparently in 2001, I think according to some of the comments on the video. But some of the announcements and LED messages will be different from back then. It's anyone's guess how it will actually sound on the R188's but it could be similar to how it plays in this video.

    Credits to Railfan2.

    2006.

Doubt it was codebreaking because the transit worker asked the person who shot the video to exit the train.

Some say that the reason why the R142 failed testing on the (7) during it's debut in 1999-2004 was because the contact shoe failed to make contact on the third rails in certain areas of the Flushing line during the initial 30 day testing phase way back when over a decade ago. This is unconfirmed however.

But apparently the R142A's can work on the (7) during more up to date testing and these battery of tests years later having everything to do with the R188's.

Nope. The train operator told me to go get a shot of the other signs before the conductor changed them :P

  3. Ok and as a conductor are those things necessary? Tell me yes and then all those years when c/r's operated on 40 & 42 equimpent and everything else behind that with no seat and 1 window with door controls were wrong.

Wouldn't they need that air comfort switch? Then again, the air conditioners on those things aren't the jet engines they are on the 142 so people can actually still hear......
  4. These people are mental cases...I applaud their effort for trying to tell people to move in but sometimes you really can't move any further. It's worse on buses because people don't like to step into the back. Two years ago I was on the S53 which predominately used hybrids at the time and the bus was crushloaded and it wasn't even noon yet...it was 11:00. My guess is a bus may have broken down, but after standing in the front right by the door I told the driver to stop at the next stop and open the back door and I went on through there...there was SO MUCH ROOM and there even was a seat in the back. People are just too damn ignorant sometimes.

Yep. That's what happened on the shuttle. I was in the front, the bottom was packed and those idiots thought the stairs were a force field, so I don't know why the prick was talking to ME like that. What I said in reply was enough, but I would have cursed the person out if they continued. Though I nearly got into a fight one day because of my words :P

  5. This is my mess of a desktop at work at the moment as I write this, fighting with group policies to get the control panel back on all the workstations in the office that was disabled for some reason while posting away on this forum lol:

Does it actually let you run it as "ip config" and not "ipconfig"?
  6.

A few weeks ago people were pushing their way into the subway car before the doors closed...I move in as much as I can and STILL there are people pushing and grazing past me catching an attitude thinking I'm in their way. I just tell them straight up to relax themselves and not make it a big issue that they're making it out to be. I don't tolerate people disrespecting me like that especially strangers in the subway or bus, but I have a way of talking to them to let them know that I'm not looking to fight, but that I'm not going to stand down and just take being pushed around because of their lack of consideration thinking it's all about them and no one else.

The f**king geniuses that think that people can move in more when it's impossible. I had that problem on that 2 shuttle bus.

"Does it look like I can move back? What should I do? Stand on the person behind me because you're blind" is what was said that day.

  7. With this $1 MetroCard surcharge bullshit, maybe the system will become cleaner........now everyone's gonna pick up the cards on the floors :P

How about you and the rest of pubescent America be happy you even have a damn phone?

Well if I'm spending my own money for my own phone, why complain?

I say wait... I never buy anything immediately when it comes out because there are always kinks...

There will be kinks even when it's old. Just look at the Galaxy S2 AND S3 and that bullshit brick bug caused by that shitty Samsung eMMC that I'm pretty sure they slap in all their phones.

Well i'm a very good teen. Get good grades, has responsibility, and common sense. Also I have a lot of manners.

So i guess good kids should deserve good things.

It's a shame that stuff like this has become the exception and not the norm.

How about getting the iPhone 5 like us cool kids? :D

I'd rather not have a phone at all. But that's just my opinion on that over-glorified piece of shit.

Ooooh, a 4 inch screen! REVOLUTION. Apple JUST got on the large screen bandwagon, yet this phone had it first: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTC_HD2. And the ONLY reason that the iPhone 5 has a 4 inch screen is because Steve Jobs isn't here to tell them no anymore. But enough ranting....

Who the hell names a road Force Tube Avenue? How about Shades of Death Road? I can imagine anybody who lives on those roads probably doesn't have many visitors. :o

I still laugh at Force Tube Av., and I wish I lived on Shades of Death Rd. just to scare the shit out of potential visitors :P

  8. I messed the headphone jack on my old iPod touch up... sad, because the iPod itself is still fine.  Maybe when I get my license and car, I'll just get one of those kits that plugs into where the USB cable goes.  I tried ordering another iPod but Amazon is telling me it's not arriving until March 20th.

Why not just fix the old one?

  9. I swear, the "new" "photobucket" can go suck the biggest one to ever exist in the universe. It's like they try to eff up your day just to do it. I'm sick of all this Web 2.0 redesigning bull schiesse. How in the hell are you gonna force people to use a version of your website that doesn't even have all the features enabled yet. They are doing what Google does with Youtube.
