http://news.yahoo.com/u-judge-strikes-down-utah-39-gay-marriage-003826177.html <--- I must say, of the states to shoot down an amendment banning same-sex marriage, Utah (one of the most conservative states) is one of the last on my mind. (Hopefully, an appeal gets rejected. *fingers crossed*)

I didn't let my main YT account join the whole Google+ circuit, but I let my backup join it instead.

"Toby: 'Henry's broken down!'" "Gordon: 'Don't tell me he needs special coal again!'" "Toby: 'No, Gordon! That was fixed years ago.'" LOL!

"Butthurt" and "retarded" have several things in common. They indicate that you concede an argument. They're both disgusting slurs (retarded" ableist, "butthurt" homophobic). And they just make the person look unintelligent.

^THANK YOU! The one thing that I've noticed on here and elsewhere as of late is that people get offended by shit they clearly don't understand and make up some kind of terminology to make it seem more offensive than it is. The term is mostly (and only) used when someone gets their feelings hurt over something so incredibly stupid like video games or a common thing on here, foamer flame wars.
-
To add on top of that, I can't understand how it strictly correlates to anything of the gay matter, unless of course, said persons don't like women, but that's another story. The term itself has never been used as a homophobic slur of any kind because to use it as one would make no sense at all. People need to stop being so bloody sensitive about dumb things like this, straight up.
-
@MHV, Cait: In a way, yes, because that slur objectifies people in such a sick and offensive manner since its inception in the 1990s. Words aren't just words. They dispel or enforce specific kinds of culture. Plus, "butthurt" carries a "Godwin's Law" effect: use it, and you automatically conceded your own opinion.
Don't merely take my word for it. Just like Persephone Magazine, Gawker explains it well, too: http://gawker.com/5965417/on-butthurt

I haven't written for NaNoWriMo in over eight years, and because doing that challenge nearly killed my ability to write fiction altogether, I don't miss it.

Watching Sesame Street's hilarious "Hunger Games" parody tells me how much they care for every single demographic out there. The show's rated TV-Y, but their care for their audience young and old speaks volumes. Hilarious for kids to laugh from the characters' antics, hilarious for the adults because they can understand the references.

Because I refuse to "update" my YouTube account, I won't be able to do anything with my comments (including moderating my own), so comments are disabled.

What the HELL, Google?! I'm not interested in creating a mandatory Google+ account! YouTube's new commentary system's bullshit!

Any registered Republican with a sense of dignity and respect would never watch or follow Fox News (unless to laugh at the daily bullshit it pours out).

Washington Redskins safety Brandon Merriweather is factually terrible as a defender. He can't genuinely TACKLE and has to resort to concussing another player or himself via helmet-to-helmet hits just to take the opponent down.

If you didn't recently, anyone planning to watching the PBS Frontline documentary, "League of Denial: The NFL’s Concussion Crisis"? I am and have it ready for DVR recording.

Watching the great Mariano Rivera pitch his final inning at Yankee Stadium. *sobs* The Major Leagues won't be the same without him.

Yankees closer Mariano Rivera's #42 jersey is retired. An honor well deserved for the greatest closer and reliever of all-time and classy individual himself.

I said it before, and I'll say it again. The fanbase doesn't determine the quality of the product. If you lose interest to FIM, Sonic, or any other product because of the fandom, then you were never interested to begin with. Scapegoating a fandom is very stupid and low, no matter the excuse.
-
Agreed to a fair extent, however I will add this. In general, disagreement in communities (both offline and online) will lead to some people falling out of common interest either temporary or sometimes even indefinitely. Not to say that the group of members as a whole were responsible for such, though it does happens and personally I do not see such as a basis for criticism, at least in my opinion.

MTA took down the September 2013 bus map updates for Brooklyn and Queens, but I still have them!
