  1. Photography day after work tomorrow.

  2. Yeah, fires tend to start in Gateway, but not this time.
  3. Man, what a crazy day in Staten Island. I had work at the mall 9-4 today and around 11 there was some smoke lingering in New Springville (the neighborhood the mall is located in). From there it got worse and worse...smoke filled the mall but surprisingly we were not told to evacuate. I stepped outside for a half-hour break to get a look at what was going on and the smoke was uneatable. When I finally left at 4, it seemed things weren't getting any better, and thankfully I got on the bus back to Brooklyn. One time I did NOT like being in Staten Island. Apparently a brush fire started in Arthur Kill, and with the winds high today, it was no surprise that smoke was all over. Everyone said that someone must have started the fire.
  4. Fourth Avenue finally reopened...I got the chance to look at it today. Looks nice. Can't wait till they finish the arch though, that's what I'm really waiting for.
  5. On another note, I spotted a Nova on the S44 a few hours ago. The S44, S59 and S61 have school runs supplied by Castleton that comes from IS 72 at around 1:30. The S44s drop out at Post/Jewett, managed to get a rear photo of the bus but not the front.
  6. Spotted at Prevost at Morani/Richmond signed as X2, probably heading to Manhattan to start an X2 trip. I joked around on a Facebook page saying that the X2 is lost since the route goes nowhere near Bulls' Head.
  7. Caught 2211 on the X10, the last bus to Manhattan, last night at CSI. Bus had no GPS tracking though. In addition I rode 9829 on the B16 to 36th Street about a couple hours ago...fantastic ride. As for my first express bus ride, it was the X1 back in December 2007, a few days before my 16th birthday.
  8. Oh ok. Lol it's cool...I know what you mean, but I guess if I like the style of the shirt then I go for it. I have one with the seagull and 1922 next to it. Looked good to me so I grabbed it. I'm not into crazy graphics like Ed Hardy anyway, just simple graphics.
  9. Lmao, I'll remember that bit. And if you can, post that snow storm shot if you can, I'd def. like to see it.
  10. Hm, can't blame you. Yeah as much as I'd like to live in S.I., it's only a last resort if I can't find anything in the parts of Brooklyn that I'm interested in first. An another note, I took a walk through Clove Lakes Park today. Saw some ducks in the lake and I seized another perfect opportunity for some photo-taking with my new camera. I friggin' love this thing, the best investment I've ever made.
  11. I don't know about you guys but I lol'd hard at this thread: http://www.subchat.com/read.asp?Id=1145703 WARNING: Thread may cause you to laugh your brains out.
  12. I believe all of the Xcelsiors have the Bus Time now.
  13. The 9:05 S93 Limited was an Xcelsior. I was going to ride it but I was hungry and I let the bus go and got some breakfast instead.
  14. Steering away from this madness, caught an Orion 5 on the S93 Limited thins morning. The bus was packed so after Hylan Boulevard we flagged all the stops until Jewett Avenue.
  15. Hey, I like their graphic tees. Besides I have to have a few AE shirts anyway cuz I work for them.
  16. Lol...it'll be targeted to teens and young adults FYI...and the best thing of all is the store's (stores' if I decide to make it a franchise) products, jeans, shirts and all, will be MADE IN THE USA.
  17. Now this is really random: since I was in Tottenville today at the beach I started to think of Hollister and how the store is named after a city in California. The store is a recreation of beach life in Cali and for some odd reason I just started thinking, what if I created the ultimate rivalry to Hollister Company and make a brand called...Tottenville Incorprorated???
  18. Yeah, the same reason why there are 1996 Orions and RTS' still around while 1998 MCIs are seeing the door.... Prevosts for life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Lol...yes I did bring the longboard although I was contemplating leaving it at home for a change. But either way it seems like I found a new method of relaxation and putting my mind at ease.
  20. So I took a nice walk along Tottenville Beach in Staten Island early this afternoon to clear some stuff off my mind and I have to say it was the best choice I've made hands down. Sometimes one needs to distance themselves from civilization and connect with nature as a way to clear some stuff off their mind, and even fiddle with the manual controls with my new camera. Next time I think I might walk through the Staten Island Greenbelt.
  21. Lol tell me about it. One OT post compared to what everyone else posts that is OT, really?
  22. Spent the day in Queens with some people...even caught Orion 5 666 doing the Shuttle at Queens Plaza. For the most part we went all over. Today went extremely well. On non bus-related news, today marked the first time I took the since the cuts in June 2010.
  23. They're finally building dorms at CSI. That means the basketball and handball courts are no more. You can still use the ones inside but they're not the same.
  24. I just noticed that the Orion Next Gens that were recently transferred to Fresh Pond still have the Bus Time device on top. Too bad the Fresh Pond routes can't be tracked yet.
