    They would get more familiar with it if more trains went there. (I don't understand why some folks are loyal to Penn at all costs — even, or especially, when GC would be more convenient for them.)

    Why does most of the additional LIRR service run to/from Penn when the parade route is so much closer to Grand Central?

    Staten Island probably doesn't want direct rail access to the rest of the city (because then the rest of the city would have direct rail access to Staten Island).

    Maybe the S62 (or an "S63" variant of it)?

    Maybe ditch the Q98 in favor of extending Q38 at both ends (to Ridgewood Terminal and Main Street Station).

    Of course, Staten Island politicians will demand that it be paid exclusively with non-S.I. tax dollars.

    How much money and time have you budgeted for design, preliminary engineering, and construction?

    Because that ferry is fare free and Staten Island will never let the city give it up.

    I wasn't "waving pom poms" — I was merely noting that, instead of "kililng" the ferry system, the City will probably try to shift all the costs to the . But y'all already knew that.

    Because the City will seek a convenient way to get out of paying for it.

    I see the NYC Ferry system eventually becoming the MTA Boat Company.
