When does it open?
The London transport museum mentions Crossrail 2, but I didn't see any references Crossrail on the tube maps while I was there.
late next year

Been in the lot/garage twice. They have always been friendly to foamers/fans if you talk nicely to them

Looks like it will be used to make parts. Wonder if they will also make it a finishing centre as well to win more NY state orders

I forgot all about the plant they got from NABI, oh man lmao.
Last I read, the Jamestown plant was a plant for them to build parts, not assembly of buses.

As this its listed as manufacturing

Three? I didn't think the Jamestown plant was a full blown plant.
Jamestown is listed on NFI site as a manufacturing plant. Looks like they want to do this so they can get more NY state orders to compete with Volvo (Nova/Prevost) on NY state orders. I would not be shocked if other NFI brands would be partly built here as well.

It appears they have 3 former school buses, now painted in blue and numbered #1, 2, and 3, along with a cutaway.
They look to be purchased new IC buses

Which bus routes you think may serve this mall? I can think of a couple of routes and perhaps a new route from New York City via Union City to Meadowlands Mall or select 190s trips to the mall.
Routes: 703, 160, 163 and or 164 (maybe because already dealing with crushing loads on 40 foot buses), 772, 190s select trip buses, 76M( Meadowlands Mall from Newark Penn Station), possible Private carriers (DeCamp and Coach USA).
Anybody else please your thoughts
Smart thing would be a new express route with a stop in Union City to the Mall just like the current 111 route to Jersey Gardens Mall

Already saw that. It does not have the history of the DE40LF in terms of numbers or fleet number, history etc.

I believe they were bought for the ongoing reconstruction of LGA.
They break down like this:
708, 710, 712 --> Former Delaware DART Gillig 40'
709, 711 --> Former Minnesota Valley Transit Authority MVTA New Flyer D35LF
713-717 --> Former Boston Crystal Transport New Flyer D40LF
718-720, 763-773 --> Former San Diego MTS New Flyer D40LF
There was a DE40LF that was seen at JFK, but I don't know what happened to it.
Wonder if the DE40LF was ex Crystal Transport as well as they used to have one from the fleet roster posted

Hey, a question about the PA-1 through PA-4 cars: does anyone here know what happened to the cars after they were retired?
Most were scrapped. Some saved for work car use and museums

They're(EPV) not doing repairs, some of the buses are at Newark Shops(or Ironbound) getting modifications and fixes. They should be back on the road within a few months.
Good to know as when they are back I want to come down and ride them

Those might be hybrids and the batch of 7215-7277.
Anyways there is electrical problems going on with the hybrids.
GO transit has the same problems with theirs. Glad go never took the options beside the couple test buses that they got.

The engine is definitely quieter - looks like Foothill's contractors did a better job maintaining than the MTA and Nassau ever will.
First Transit is the contractor for Foothills.

They actually got suburban seat buses? Those are gonna go to hell quick...
But maybe this could be NICE trying to set up some kind of actual express bus service?
All of Foothill's CNG V's were suburbans as they ran into downtown LA on the highway express routes.

So I am looking at the NICE fleet and they are purchasing Orion V CNG 2002 built. According to Wikipedia, the total of order is unknown, Ex-Foothill Transit and purchased from late 2014. I thought NICE are planning on retire the Orion V CNGs this year through 2016 and all of them to be replace by low floor CNG(whatever the bus is) sometime around 2015-2017.
I have heard up to 20 coming. I only can confirm from NICE that they said they have 6 on the property before Christmas.

Anyone know the former Foothill fleet numbers of the V's that NICE picked up. So they would just be in service a year or two until the new order can be placed?

Wonder if NABI gave them a last min option for these that was in the documents.

416 is out for 100% sure unless they went to NFI/NABI with a 1000 bus order
