Interesting question.Anyone have any Idea if the remainder of the 38 M8 cars that are made At Kawasaki's Kobe Japan facility are still in Japan? Since the Earthquake,it has halted a lot of auto manufacturing out there and I know that Kawasaki made 38 M8 cars exclusively in Japan while the rest are made in the U.S.Any answer to this?
I've heard many say the Silverliner Vs are lemons, but from what I see on videos, they are very fast. They should have a Silveliner V and a M8 race on the NE corridor.
Ha!! I knew some of those photos looked familiar.they're Fred's photos. Hes the reason some of us were able to catch the M8 yesterday.ALL HAIL FRED G.!!!!!
Everyone has a quip about the headlights, but believe me when you see this train in person, its not that bad.The rest of the train makes up for the unsightly headlight mowhawk on top.
Rotem??? Hell no!!! Hvae you heard whats going on in Philly with the silverliner V's? Worst than the M8 situation.Rotem needs to take off the training wheels before the even looks their way.
I concur. The local newspaper the stamford advocate had the M8 in the papers everyday as well as the failing M2.The media is blowing it out of proportion to put pressure on putting the cars to service for the spoiled CT masses.
Im betting my chips on the first or second week of March.Havent heard any problems with them so far and I manage to catch it in stamford last week. Its looking good for the M8.
K.Lane and Transit tech used to always stay scrappin since the 1970s.I remember when I was in transit,I witnessed a mob from lane set on a mob from transit. It was like a scene out of "The Warriors"
Which is why Kawasaki is in Yonkers,Alstom is in Hornell N.Y and Bombardier in Plattsburgh N.Y and Barre Vermont due to the fact they are near potential customers in N.Y,N.J,Boston,D.C and Philadelphia.
