  1. You are partially right.Lincoln plant is primarily car body fabrication, where Yonkers is the final assembly and testing site for different car types. Kobe japan facility doubles up as carbody manufacturing, assembly and testing where most of the R142A's were fabricated.as far as the M8, only the first 38 will be Japanese made, the rest are built in the U.S.A.
  2. In our local newspaper the dire situation of the M2 cars is making the papers almost everyday.especially with this brutal weather.
  3. Thanks guys for the happy birthday:)

  4. For M2s to be that old, they still ride pretty smooth.
  5. Oy Vey.More delays for the M8s (Mates) http://www.stamfordadvocate.com/news/article/Metro-North-seeks-12-M-for-new-train-testing-971227.php
  6. Bombardier would have to do their version of the R142 for conversion if necessary since it is their product.
  7. I would say the R142A would likely be the one to be coverted.
  8. I had to laugh at that map. Then the thread itself. Was he for real with that???
  9. SIR will be getting R46 cars to replace the R44s once the receives the R-179.
  10. Im betting on Bombardier.Bombardier is also in N.Y.Plattsburgh to be exact. So money and jobs will be kept in New York Bombardier supporter Right here.
