so, just in general when do you think we'll get any more previews of these, or are they just going to be basically updated cbtc-equipped r160's with Bombardier propulsion? I already saw all they renders, but when do you think actual construction will start, because I heard the delievery of the first test train is said to be in December of next year, so yeah, what you guys think?

****THIS JUST IN****, PelhamLocal is a complete . One Locomotive who i should of add right away was, GE's Super 7(Bo-Bo configuration). Just the roof line of the new locomotive, should give it away......facepalm.... could of had a (V)8 P.S. I think i found Rockstar's explanation for their excuse of a flat car in San Andreas(not V)...LOL

My question is, that how is it the greatest city in the world, can build a sufficient subway system in 4 short years, but to create a new line on that system, around 80 or so years, it just Baffles me.

So basically all the R179's are just a slightly updated model of the R160's to replace all the 60' SMEE's...to be honest not really suprised, but the thing i am suprised about, is that they awarded bombardier the contract.

Not to burst your bubble but the redbirds and r32s were not the oldest continually running cars in the system, the oldest art the Q types, originally started as gate cars, and then being converted into Q and QX types, and ran for 60 years, and the last time they ran was in 1969, on the myrtle ave el between jay street and broadway. just my two cents though, btw I can't wait to see the back on the if they are going to be transfered to the , but as long as i see one pull in even if its not my train im happy.
