  1. Another young guy on the boards who thinks tv and cartoons started in the 1990's. Lets see some of my favorites 1)Bugs Bunny/Looney Toones. 2)Scooby Doo(hated the '2' movies that came out after lol) 3)Tom & Jerry 4)Fanastic Four(old cartoons made in the late '60's and later the '80's) Not the recent movie series. 5)Pink Panther 6)early "Simpsons" especially between 1990-2005. I have more but these are the cartoons if i was on an island and had to watch on tv 24/7 list lol i would always pick first.
  2. Here one of the most popular disco era songs ever. It was a worldwide #1 hit in early 1979 and it was about how this NYC band had a terrible experience at the legendary disco club "studio 54." Oringallly called "F _CK YOU" and later renamed for radio edit Le Freak. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3e2UviVbCes
  3. RIP Major Harris who passed away over this past weekend (Veterans Day weekend 2012). Here is his signature song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQAFluMiwIo
  4. I posted this about 2-3 years ago lol. Here Jim Carey aka Vanilla Ice in Ice Ice Baby lol
  5. Oh Yes. What a great theme from the late 1970's/early '80's. To still many in 'football' world, the greatest collection of soccer players of all time. Theme to the NY Cosmos.
  6. Welcome back Concourse. Hope you ok after the storm. How great that another fast food which certain to cause future heart arteries/diabetic issue for customers in Popeyes opens. Other than a couple of times a year (I prefer KFC myself)i now stick to mostly places that serve rotisserie chicken when i eat out such as Boston Market. Man what Utica Ave does not need is another fried chicken joint.
  7. A classic #1 song from film "Grease." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsxHOcvQFtY
  8. Here a true classic tv theme to one of the 1970's most popular sitcoms. This is a great video clip of East LA circa 1975. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8A39x3LFeQE&feature=related
  9. Going back to '80's. A blond bombshell who also happened to be a great singer/actress (something most female singers in 2012 are missing other than their looks)with her classic #1 hit from 1980.
  10. Something old school and nasty lol. First it was a smash international pop/disco hit in 1975. Then re-relased 22 years later in 1997 on soundtrack to the film "The Full Monty."
  11. Going to the Great and Big '80's. Here is one of Gloria Estefan biggest hits of her career (solo or with Miami Sound Machine)from the late '80's. A #1 smash called "Anything for You." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dADloMgkUuQ
  12. Wow! 2011 and 2012 has been a good recovery year for pop music, While I am still not a big fan of most today's artists there been some songs in past year i liked. I picked couple of adelle songs earlier. Here another. In a year in which alternative rock has made a huge comeback led by Goyte, here a NYC band that had their first #1 US hit. They called "Fun." A duet with another newcomer R&B Singer Janelle Monae with this smash hit "We are Young." Man this is a cool video, almost a throwback video from say the late 1980's or early '90's IMO.
  13. Here the former "Blue eyed soul" singer from the last 1960's who first gained famed with Traffic. Later had a hugely very succesful solo career in the 1980's. Steve Winwood and a great song featured in a beer commerical.
  14. In honor to Mr. Obama and Romney for the 1st presidential debate held last night. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TVz7MiFhAk&feature=related
  15. I am sure 1980's music fans on here such as Trainmaster and NYCfan might like this.
  16. To this day one of all time favorite cartoon series. Surprised it not been turned into a movie yet.
  17. This song is in memory of late donna summer. Here her one of biggest hits a #1 smash from Fall of 1979 with a duet. This other lady is a Brooklyn native and one of the most famous Female Entertainers of the last 40 years. She will soon perform her 1st ever major concerts in her home boro at the new Baraclys Center.
  18. A cheesy but fun song! Of Course. Here Baha Man (remember them) with the Song of summer of 2000.
  19. Yes mark it old news. With that said, the news here is that the is actually doing the rehab work now unlike when story broke earlier this year. Plus i merged all of the R32's threads into easier sticky thread. This is done of course to prevent 5,000-plus chats on them lol.
