  1. I thought about that also. Like many other things, NJ Transit catch amnesia.
  2. Reason why I question it is because greenville garage is closer, which would make sense for two of the lines. The timing for them fits in my opinion.
  3. True I don't get why they would want to keep them.
  4. Well, we were right with the 30. The garages are a bit odd to me. I would think Greenville would get the 8 (33) and 9 (31) and Meadowlands with the 14 (32). Do you think they would try and adjust any of the routes?
  5. I agree. The 30 and 33 are always full of people, especially during the school year. If NJ Transit don't develop a backup plan, I don't know if you been to the square during rush hour, but it'll get even worse. I've been trying to figure the 32 since I heard the news. No other bus goes anywhere near 440 (the 1 bus yes but it's stops are by lincoln park). I think something should replace that line but limited. The 31 is mostly a lost cause. People use it yes but not like how it was years ago. Agree. Out of the four that line would be easy to replace. Just increase 80S services throughout the day.
  6. If you took a damn sentence as snarky (which I don't know how you did), like I said before, that's not on me. Also, I gave a explanation and for some reason it not enough. Again, not my issue. Lastly, I don't need to give you shit else. I gave you an apology but I'm guessing because I'm not begging for forgiveness it ain't enough. You took a one sentence shit and came back with a damn paragraph. You took on it on another level for some dumbass reason. I don't need this shit from the likes of you.
  7. Then what the hell you want. You got an apology so what else you need? You took it that way, blew it up to more than what it is. If you felt that way then dude, you need help. I use to go to a community college, where some were thinking they are entitled to cheap or free transit. When they don't want to pay the full fare and are ask to, throw race, sex, etc, as the issue. Then when you explain the student discount, you get that few acting like it hard, like it should be handed and earn with little to no work. That is why, as I kept going, say NJ Transit should work more with colleges, with the very least educating those who are out of state that really don't understand. Maybe I could have explain it more on that part. I got enough so called "woke" people that yeah, maybe my words at you at that time was out of line, when I saw that word. "Let's not mix in politics into here." (poor choice of words) "This is a safe space." (it is with my struggles in life) You took a sentence and made it more than what it was. I gave you an apology but your going on like I should leave. If you took whatever I said in some tone, that's not my issue.
  8. Spare me the tough guy attitude. Instead of the "you said what you said, I said what I said" approach, you went on about something more. I didn't disrespect you. I went on about colleges and NJ transit working together to better educate the students and yet, like the attitude you have, and the narrative as what your trying to paint me as, you go on and on. I said this was a safe space yes. Your the only sensitive guy who took to heart the next comment. If it didn't apply to you, why the long rant? Your questioning my replies yet, your doing the same. What does your grumpy ass want, an apology? A hug? If you felt that disrespected over that then yeah, sorry.
  9. Trying to get NJ Transit to explain is also a headache. I remember asking about the #87 route. When I get the monthly pass, at the machine its Zone 1 or Zone 2. But I know #87 is just a 1 zone route. I contacted NJ transit to ask if the #87 is going to be 2 zones and if so, where would the second one start. Not one word from them.
  10. I made a comment, you went off with the next in a attitude. I actually agree on the colleges today, but why make that comment here, let just focus on the transit. My point was that NJ Transit could work with colleges at teaching routes, zones, etc. Especially since some students are out of town and just try and hop on the bus (seen it many times). You're the one feeling some type of way with that long comment. "Go somewhere with this crap, honestly...." Take your own advice.
  11. Well, it obviously a problem to you. You can always make that website and go off as much as you like. Anyway, back to the other convo.
  12. Let's not mix in politics into here. This is a safe space. I remember when I went to NJCU (years ago) that there use to be a poster at the academic building explaining the bus routes and the zones. I've seen people more and more get confused.
  13. I always thought that excise was dumb. Bus service a lot of times brings people to the light rail. Plus not having something for liberty state park just seems like a missed opportunity.
  14. I agree on that. Traffic gets so backed up in the morning at that turn. What I don't get is the idiot who would park their car close to the curb.
  15. Exactly, which is why that idea of his sounds ridiculous.
  16. Did anyone see this. https://www.nj.com/news/2022/06/federal-grant-will-bankroll-nj-transits-next-big-bus-route-makeover.html My opinion, a lot of routes do need change but how? For years since it ended, I thought the #231 was great. Even if it was limited, not having a route to liberty state park seems ridiculous. Also, not having a bus route on Garfield Avenue seems odd.
  17. I don't think it should. I get the #10 and #119 somewhat but still don't like it. But other routes such as the #83 and #127 would be dumb. That's like saying it should happen to the #89 and #126 since they connect together except for the new york stop.
  18. I have to disagree on the 83/127. Most of the time people are taking it to walmart or the light rail at 49th street. I usually go out there a lot and if I miss the 83, I know the 127 will come. Or if the 83 looks crowded, i'll hop on the 127.
  19. That is true. I don't want coach or academy to get the 119. It's worst on the weekend. The 119 and the 10. When the 119 shows up it doesn't have a lot of people on it, but because I'm not going past Journal Square, the driver tells me to wait for the 10, which is crowded to the front. Since coach took over, it just took a nosedive on the 119. I waited in Bayonne for a hour and a half. I also thought 119 should have went to NJ Transit from the start. As for Greenville, to be honest, taking the 10 wouldn't be so bad since the garage sits in a nice spot. Plus, they can set some routes up at city line of Bayonne. It would even be nice to split it with Meadowlands. The 23 is a route that could either be good or bad, depending on the ridership. I mean, it's an interesting route, but would it be as miss if it ended? Would like to see 119 artics, but to me, it'll be great for rush-hours only.
  20. While I agree on how long the ride of the #83 is (which I like if I'm being honest), its one of those leave it like it is or overhaul it completely route. I do think an express route should be made. I know people from jersey city and union city who take that route to Hackensack to transfer to one of the other routes at the terminal, so asking them to make another transfer would be crazy. Plus, that route is usually busy, it not like it's empty, especially during morning and afternoon rush-hours.
  21. Sometimes NJ Transit makes things more than what they seem. I mean, the #356 is sitting right there. I figure the study is to see how many people would use the service between both sides. Here's an answer: a lot.
  22. Makes sense. I've asked a driver I know for the company if they were going to go back to their regular hours and he said it's probably not happening. Which is a shame because I always saw a good amount of people on the Bergen avenue bus after 8pm (I live on Bergen avenue myself).
