  1. That's why I saw 4477 on the Q20B last week with QV decals........
  2. Saw 6338 on Pennsylvania Ave, I guess to do a run on the B60. She still had CS depot stickers on the driver side. 4525 and 4528 are FP. Saw both at Ridgewood Terminal. 6194 and 6310 are in FP depot getting worked on......
  3. I saw two buses from UP on the Conduits heading towards Queens yesterday afternoon. One of the buses was 9397.......... I'll start to look for Nova LFS on my home routes: Q3/77........
  4. Or to the , followed by a three block walk. This is for the nice weather days.....
  5. When I proposed the B14 reroute to Rockaway Blvd, you disagreed with it. Now, you proposing the same thing.... Lol.......
  6. R32s will be back on the for the Monday morning rush........
  7. On the inside, the sign could be set in the middle, but might be off centered on the outside.....
  8. Anyway, B2: Summer extension to Riis Park.... B14: Rerouted to serve the Rockaway Blvd station. Anyone that needs Gateway, Postal Facility, and the movie theater can transfer to the B13/20........ B19: Canarsie: Seaview Ave- E.80 St to Gateway Ctr Mall. Takes over B17 E.80 St Branch, Flatlands Ave, connects and follows the B84 routing to the mall. BM5: Change it back to the BQM1. Lol. Lol.
  9. Since there is no attics currently, I think the headways on the Q111 need to decreased on Sunday evenings/nights. It makes no sense hat Sunday nights at 10 pm feels like Monday at 6:30pm leaving from Jamaica.......
  10. No. If anything, the B14 should be extended to at least Grand Army Plaza on the west. But I rather see it extended on the eastern end...
  11. Thanks guys for all the comments and criticism. It is greatly appreciated. 1. Intersting take with the BP routes in downtown Jamaica. I agree with the Q110 comments. It gets its ridership in downtown Jamaica. It is best not to terminate it at 179 at all times..... 2. I also agree about the Q25/34/65. Most of its Jamaica ridership gets on at McDonalds/Wendy's on Jamaica Ave. However, it should continue to terminate at Jamaica LIRR. 3. The reason that I chose the Q84 to go to Sutphin Blvd-LIRR and possibly Hillside Avenue is because all Merrick Blvd routes go to Parsons-Archer. Being that the Q84 is the least used out of all 4, I figured it'll garner some ridership with the extension. 4. The Q113 would be LTD along Guy Brewer, Q111 would be local... 5. Noticed quite a few people waiting for that Q9 at Rockaway Blvd yesterday afternoon. Are most of these customers coming off the 10 or local folks?
  12. 1. 42 to 83 (free xfer) for . Work on the operation hours of the 42. 2. Short turn Q111 and Q113 locals. Rosedale Q111 and Q113 LTD will run full route.......
  13. 1] I'm not exactly sure what you're suggesting here... Are you saying that all 113 trips become LTD's (meaning, no more 113 locals), or that the local 113 trips run LTD on Brewer (meaning, 113 local & 113 LTD's would still be kept) ? 2] I agree... The question though is, at what rate, on each of the 2 routes (rhetorical)..... 3 & 4] This was an old suggestion I had, but I'll repeat it anyway (as it's somewhat relevant, I guess)..... I would have removed the Q25/34/65 stop at Jamaica ctr. bus terminal.... Always said that the masses wait for 25's/34's/65's at Jamaica/Parsons anyway (this would put the 42 & the 84 back on Archer av, instead of back there w/ the N4.... It would also have the Q25 & 65 LTD's run nonstop b/w LIRR Jamaica & Jamaica/Parsons).... The Q83 would get extended to Sutphin (via archer, via sutphin) with the Q40.... The Q110's & the Q112's first pickup stops would be moved to Parsons blvd b/w 88th & hillside (separate bus stops for each route).... The Q111 & the Q113 would then make their first pickup stops along 153rd b/w 88th & hillside (separate bus stops for each route).... In other words, only the Q110 & the Q112 would use Parsons b/w Hillside & Archer (out of the 110/111/112/113, I mean).... The Q111 & the Q113 would run down 150th b/w Hillside & Archer - which would lead 111's/113's right into that end of the bus terminal with the N4..... While I wasn't thinking about short turns with this suggestion, you could also have (would-be) short turns end there as well.... 1. I'll take option #2. 3. I was thinking of extending the Q84 to Sutphin Blvd-LIRR, the Q83 routing is not bad. If there was space, the Q84 could join the Q83 up on Sutphin.... 4. Interesting take on Baisley Park routes.....,,,,,
  14. 1. How about the Q113 become limited along Guy Brewer? Q111 for local service......... Or 2. Short turn Q111 and Q113 locals terminate at Parsons-Archer during the day? 3. How about swapping the Q83 and Q84 spots at Parsons-Archer? All the Merrick Blvd routes would be in one location. 4. How about the Rosedale bound Q111 actually stop at the Q111 stop at Parsons-Archer? Or extend the bus stop further..... Comments, discuss, criticize....
  15. 6132, 6194, and 6298 are at Fresh Pond. 6132 was in one of maintenance barn. 6194 and 6298 was in the space between the line tracks. 6298 had a paper sign on the windshield stating that it was out of service....
  16. ----------- Side note: I don't know why they have the Q104 terminal listed as being on 34th/11th, when the last stop on the 104 is right after it makes the turn off vernon onto 34th.... It's why you'll see some b/o's layover along vernon blvd in that area sometimes..... You know, that's one thing I never quite understood about terminal listings (of the bus routes where the last dropoff stop isn't the same as the first pickup stop).... There's no rhyme or reason as to whether bus companies (not just the MTA, but in general) advertise the last dropoff stop as "the" terminal, or the first pickup stop as "the" terminal..... By definition, a terminal is an endpoint..... - Where the Q104 turns off 34th onto 11th on that corner there is the first pickup stop, not the last dropoff stop.... I'm not much of a thread starter on forums, but I long thought about having a discussion of sorts..... Of course, it's a moot point if it's like the Q100 for example, where the destination sign shows a general area; "LI City - Queens Plz - Limited".... But the Q104 destination signage in that direction is a little more specific (IINM, it goes "LI City - 11th st || via 48th st via Bway")... What I'm getting at is, "11th st" shouldn't be shown - Vernon blvd should be shown instead.... It's a misnomer (and rather misleading).... A Lil off topic, the same can definitely be said for the B17 destination signage as well....... Other routes as well, but the B17 always stick out......
  17. .......and the Q3 and the Q77 stop on the same block at 169th Street
  18. I'm one of those that board the bus at 169. Get that seat, plus where I have the choice of the getting the (Q3) or (Q77) depending on the time of day...
