maybe get promoted to TSS or DISpatcher

C/R, T/O, TSS wear uniforms for a reason, because they have public interaction. Those jobs literally have to deal with co-workers, the general public, and management on a daily bases.

    i hope they give the 4000s a chance :(

What shift is best for folks who don't like human interaction from coworkers / supervisors / dispatchers?  AM vs PM vs Mid-nights??  I just want to be left alone.

This may not be the job for you then lol.

Our class was the last to pick and we didn’t have any cleaning. It was E180 capital days.. the rest were maintenance nights like 14th, Times Square, Grand Central Shuttle, 149 Grand Concourse and so on. We go there after this week. The class that picks tomorrow, their seniority stops at 2099 and they have one maintenance day spot at West Farms and everything else looks like maintenance in Brooklyn mostly. The class that finished before us all got cleaning. Not sure about anything before that lol

It's just your class and the one that ends at 2099 right now in school? Plus the new one going in May 9th it seems.

There are suppose to be new classes all the way up to july, in my opinion anyone past list #3000 might not be contacted but you never know.

When they first started hiring off the list their initial goal was about 200 to 250. As of right now they've hired approximately 350+ new Track workers off this exam, with more classes scheduled as you've stated. After July they might take a break since they've recouped most of their man power and will probably hire as needed instead of this much.

That’s awesome! I wish you the best of luck. Seniority numbers for our class stops at 2069 but I think there is a class in right now at 248 so those numbers are higher if that’s the case

That's dope, hopefully they hit the 2200's so it's back to how it was during SAP. I saw a class doing OJT in Coney Island on Monday between Stillwell Yard and Coney Island terminal.

Does anyone know how often the Sequence Certification Number gets updated, mine  has been stuck at that number since last year. Given the amount of people they process, the one who says no, the ones who failed drug test, the one who are not vaccinated and can't proceed and the ones who didn't reply to the canvassing letter.

Whenever the current certification expires and they have a need to revist the next pool of candidates.

Thanks brother.. I have a shoulder bag with a strap but I can tuck it in by hiding. There are bags that detach the strap but mine doesn’t so hopefully tucking it in and hiding mine will suffice lol

Yeah no problem, it's just to ensure if you do take it down on the track that it doesn't snag on anything. Some guys will carry silk bags with their equipment with them.

So…my question turned out to be moot as I never got to the final processing.

I have basically been on medical hold after medical hold because every time I give them something they ask for… they ask for something else they didn’t say before. I spent SIX HOURS sitting around in the waiting room to see the doctor… and they’re like “did you ever get a note from the doctor about your blood pressure”

“The previous two doctors I’ve seen this week didn’t ask for one, they did not tell me I need one. All they told me is the sleep apnea sheet with enough days on it.”

and this was it. They told me if I wasn’t cleared today… the list is done. It’s going back to the city.

All this because of a recall. I had to wait to get my machine. Now it’s done. This is wrong. Every time they said jump, I said “how high”… and this is where I end up… “thank you, but the list is up”

the words I want to use right now…

So you'll have to restore your name to DCAS and start the process all over again it seems, sometimes this place is stressful before the first day.
