R44 CNG

8810 and another bus (I think 9063) came to JA to solve some shortage a few months back, 8810 still moving around out there without GPS activated/installed.

I know it takes a little while to get the storage buses prep and ready for service (example JFK D60s). They should do it instead of sending buses across the city to do a little 2-3 hour run.

Should pull some buses out of System Reserve instead of loaning, what are they just sitting in EC for other than maybe parts.

A reduction of stops on the Q3 and better headways or a limited bus...

Its the longest route in terms of distance out of Jamaica Depot and provides service to JFK Airport from most of the neighborhoods within Jamaica, Queens. It also connects to 3 LIRR Stations and the train.

Another idea is to have some local trips short turn at 179th St Station and Rockaway Bl

Best place is in Jamaica on the Q110/1/2/3 during rush hours...You can catch the oldest TA bus 101 and Frankenstein 133

Meanwhile in Pelham Bay they appear on the Q50 and Bx23...a bonus is that some of them are repainted.

They rarely appear on the Q64 as well.

Its like JA and QV are doing what FR and JK are doing. Loaning buses back and forth JA loaning 8045-8089 to QV, and QV loaning RTS to JA occasionally.

I know JFK is short on buses, but what's with all the other moves and loans? It's as if FR & JFK just share buses regardless of where they are assigned to. What also baffles me is that even after the summer JFK is still helping out FR routes. (Could this possibly have to do with FR depot still damaged from Sandy? Last I saw it looked normal). Also, as I mentioned, i've been seeing FR buses on JFK routes, such as the other day coming home from school I got 3504 on the Q60.

 

 

Its as if JFK and FR depots have merged, and the buses aren't assigned to one or the other but both.

4472 was moved to Casey Stengel today. It was on the Q44 (of all routes) with Casey Stengel depot stickers.

It has been at Stengel for a week, but I didn't see the CS stickers. I'm pretty sure I saw it yesterday on the Q44 still with QV stickers...

I believe CS is short on buses. So QV is loaning them a few buses, 4472 is one of the loaned buses spotted frequently. GojiMet86 spotted a QV RTS on the Q48 a few days ago.

It's funny, I haven't seen any. A few LFSes on Jamaica routes (8060 being one of them) but no NGs out of QV yet.

 

 

That's new, makes another bus gone from GH. Wonder if KB sent anything.

I for one am excited for the QV and JA swap, now there is a variety. It seems the freshly repainted NGs (44xx) will go to QV, I cant wait to look outside my window and see an LFS on the Q3. Also imagine one appearing on the Q44, Q54 and Q76.

No! Goddamn, I was hoping to get it these days. I don't want to go all the way out there to catch it.

Its easier to catch it, all 4 of BP routes start in Jamaica.
