  1. But why? They can't use #230 for training before putting it into service?
  2. I know that but I meant' why would they (The DOB) send it over there to MJQ?
  3. Yeah, I was like WT-? (Sorry, couldn't finish it) Why would they need that bus. It's out of age compared to the rest of the RTS's Quill has which are from 98-99. I wonder if there's a plan for some reason to give Quill the 96's RTS to last a little while more by swaping out something or this is one of those no-sense moves like we saw in the summer. Ex. 5017 & 5135 becoming QV buses for a short time after being loaners since there also different in some by age compared to the RTS over there.
  4. Yeah, all but #8758 came from UP. That one came from QV (being a UP turned QV bus after being a loaner) along w/#8820 which went there a month or two ago.
  5. A few days ago opposite of #9194, I saw #9566 bear it's old Jamaica Stickers @ Kew Gardens. It didn't happen before so I wonder what happened to it's QV Sticker?
  6. Well I caught one over the spring. But most likely you may see them on select rush hour days. I saw one run beside the train I was on in the evening. There's like 1-2 of them whenever they're put out there. I don't where you got the impression that they would be on weekends 'cause that the least of chances to see one. Just scout harder & eventually one will pop-up.
  7. New Flyer C40LF #213 is here. I saw it on the (Q25) @ Jamaica this afternoon. Also I rode #9194 on the (Q30)!. It had QV stickers on it but it may go to Jamaica eventually.
  8. Model: NovaBus RTS-06 Number #: 9377 Scheme: New York City Bus Thanks! Edit: Whiteback
  9. Now the question remains...When will these things see service? I predict mid-to late November (Hopefully).
  10. Finally! Someone made a storage/scrap list for ECH. I still say it's a waste to scrap #5003. That bus was in fine condition exterior wise. All they had to was to take parts from another bus & use on #5003.
  11. A couple of things weird things happened this morning: 1. The train I rode went on the local track. It stopped @ Briarwood-Van Wyck Blvd, which it isn't suppose to since it's an express train. Also when I got off @ the Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike station it was on the local track then as well. I don't know if it went to 75 av (another local stop). It was stalled for a minute so I assume it went back to Forest Hills-71 Av on the Express Track. (I hope). 2. Before that there was an R160 Train that came signed up as the @ Jamaica Center. It still said Jamaica 179st. I didn't see if it was corrected as my train left already. Possible G.O as a result for these events maybe?
  12. Earlier this eveing I saw #4939 on the (Q4) LTD. It had a fresh re-paint & makes the bus look pretty good plus I haven't seen it for a while. I'll assume it was @ Zerega for the repaint.
  13. Whoo, wee I can't get over #9366. I rode that bus earlier on the (Q46) & had one of the strongest 2nd gears out of the RTS's in QV.
