I did hear that the Orion 5 CNGs' tanks are dead, and there is no point in renewing the tanks so... they're good as dead lol.

R188 7811-7815 just got transferred uptown via the 6th Avenue line and CPW, according to Daniel and someone else. Also, 7216-7221 is back at E 180 St Yard.

I really don't think the R188 is going to start service next month.

How long ago did you see the 2000-series T80206 RTSs being scrapped? I think they retired almost 1-2 years ago.

EDIT: County Auto Wreckers certainly picks up part of the retired RTSs doe.

the cars in back of the R42s are R40 slants from rock pk, the R32s were OOS since 2009, they mainly former Jamaica cars

 

the R160 SMS is gonna take atleast a year to 2 years, look how long it took to SMS the 222 R32s. a year and a half to complete, you have just about 400 R160A1s to SMS so that's gonna be awhile

I thought the R32 SMS went quite fast, but that's prolly just me lol.

The MTA probably had the logic of scrapping the older (like the R38s and many R32s) and more stranger fleets (like the GE R32s, since there were only 10 of them anyway) at the time.

Were there any diesels today on the JG lines?

I doubt they will (like Cait Sith has mentioned).... they're probably there for maintenance just like the occasional RTS or diesel Orion 5 that pops up at College Point.

The R40A straight-ended cars IMO should have replaced those current leftover R42s on the . They didn't look as rusted on the roofs and at the side of the bottoms below the doors than the R42s were.

Like many say, the R40A straight-ended cars actually had better MBDFs than the R42s at the time too!

I've managed to be the only person here who hasn't seen one on the . What are the odds. I often get the one R46 that will be running on any given day on the , so yeah, them's the breaks.

ok.guys better be prepared for this one, the and swap is happening tonight, I heard more than 50 cars might get swapped, the main number is 48 cars but the highest I heard was 100 cars, but ill stick to 48 cars for now, the amount of cars are subject to change

its 40 plus the 8 cars that they already have, read my previous post, ENY is gonna have a total 52 R32's

6 trainsets (48 of the cars) then... wonder if those 4 others will be used for spares.
