  1. I thought NICE wasn't serious about cutting the N35 from Nassau. The only reason I don't post here anymore is because everyone knows NICE is a freaking awful excuse of a company, and that's an open secret.
  2. I remember those N16 short turns too well as the route to avoid unless it was early in the morning. It got so hung up any time after 10:00 AM that it was actually faster to take the N35 to Hempstead.
  3. Five years on and they haven't done anything about open engine covers? Then again, judging from the transmission whines I hear, I'm surprised they even bother trying to fix anything.
  4. RVC is closing (closed?) for the sake of "cost savings." I personally think it's full of shet. Once the apparently-popular Rockville Racquet Club went down, it was only a matter of time before the old garage went as well.
  5. It's still an okay route by Nassau standards, but the NGs are showing their age and NICE sure isn't helping things any.
  6. Why did old (pre-2001 or so) NBA games only show the scores once or twice a quarter on TV? It's always bothered me.
  7. Why hasn't Photobucket died yet? On-topic, I saw an NG on the N31 stranded in the middle of Hempstead Avenue, emergency lights on. I wonder where all the car-hating Transportation """"""""""""Alternative"""""""""""" members are telling me I'm bad for refusing to ever ride the bus again?
  8. What's the stop policy on buses coming into Queens? Every other stop only? I remember taking the N4 from the city line and the bus only stopped every few stops.
  9. And then it got worse. Service Change Posted: 06/20/2017 8:56AM Due to ongoing signal problems at 34 St-Herald Sq, the following service changes are in effect: There is no train service between Brighton Beach Av and Bedford Park Blvd in both directions. There is no train service between B'way-Lafayette St and Forest Hills-71 Av in both directions. Forest Hills bound trains are terminating at Essex St. Expect delays in , , , , , and train service. Allow additional travel time.
  10. Still true, but unless those connecting buses are on time, you're going to wait a good 20-30 minutes for the next one. A big chunk of the reason why I grew to hate LIB/NICE so much.
  11. It didn't involve the half an hour ago, but now it does:
  12. There was a crash on the 1st in Farmingdale. A Dodge Caravan hit 1790 head on and the Caravan driver died on the spot. http://abc7ny.com/news/1-dead-when-minivan-nice-bus-collide-in-farmingdale/2060187/
  13. ENY is a subway station that has LIRR trains stopping at it. Penn is a sports complex with tracks running right under it.
  14. That's probably the least of their worries at this point. I rarely see anyone outside of Hempstead get on the bus from the train.
  15. NICE cut frequencies? What a joke. Buses already go missing, so they're not going to accomplish anything more.
  16. Passed by XN40 #1933 earlier this week, stalled and trying to restart on the side of the road. The starter sounded like it wanted to die. How new are these things, again?
  17. I don't remember the n17 being well-used for getting to MMC. In the LIB days, it was mostly used by people waiting at Hempstead who didn't want to wait for the N15, as the N16 had short runs throughout the day. It was a victim of the demographic changes around RVC.
