  1. The 25 and 26 are very packed during rush hours, especially the latter when all the employees at the hospital from NYC are done for the day.
  2. At this point, I think walking is a better idea than taking the rails: B Division:
  3. Delays all over the A Division, but this has just not been a good month for the at all: The and have delays as well, but what's this?
  4. The entire system's lining up for their shot at making this Friday suck:
  5. It wouldn't have been a Friday without ConEd failing and taking the subway out, would it?
  6. The turn in and out of the terminal is kind of tight for a bus that long. Not to mention all the maneuvers it would have to make trying to get in and out of the bay, and even moreso getting in and out of the terminal itself.
  7. I've seen 1643 and 1648 no less than 5 times over the past month. There's also another Foothill bus still in service but I can't remember the number.
  8. I saw 1968 on the N6. Decent load for the time of day. The XN40 behind it was packed as well.
  9. And show the world how much ridership has actually plummeted? There's got to be a political reason as to why Mongo and company aren't completely gutting service.
  10. How did Photobucket sink so low? How?

When they started pushing people to pay for extra space. Bogus as hell when Flickr has 1TB for Free.

Wait, they charge for extra space? Damn it has been a while since I've used PB.

  11. At this point, I'd be more worried about retaining ridership.
  12. That's a good way to kill ridership that's already on the decline.
  13. How little, if anything, they've mentioned of ridership figures after 2012 is sad. It might be tucked very cleverly into a paragraph of a statement or into one of their Powerpoint presentations or something.
  14. Did the MSBA ever stop by GA Cinema or did they not have a route there back then? I think for a while when the route was new, the N8 made a stop by Target but this didn't last too long.
  15. GA Mall has already become Queens (Center Mall at Valley Stream). I'm glad I've never spent any more than 30 minutes near RFM at a time.
  16. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that the old RFM terminal was so close to Macy's.
  17. Do you remember anything of the old N2 and N3 when they followed the N1 and N6 to Jamaica during the rush?
  18. Those short turns nearly ALWAYS flagged DSS and it wasn't made any easier when that elementary school on Jackson let out. I remember a few MTA B/O's refused to move the bus after the Student Union unless everyone moved all the way back; this was well before the NGs were the basis of the fleet. (To be a smartass? I'd always stand ALL the way in the back, on the right, so the B/O couldn't say anything to me). When the weather got better one year, I started walking to Bradley Hall and taking the N35, which avoided the schools and all the buildings and would more likely than not make it to HTC before the N16. I don't even want to imagine it now under NICE.
  19. It's terrible to see the old NGs in such terrible shape. Slipping transmissions, squealing belts, everything short of one catching on fire, I've seen or heard it. When I rode the N20G back to Long Island at the end of December, I caught 1684. It was painfully slow, but the interior held up well after over a decade, the exterior (and interior) signs worked fine, the heat worked just fine, and the drivetrain sounded healthy. If it was washed and polished inside and out, I probably wouldn't have known that it was an older bus.
  20. Took NCIE for the first time in a year and a half. I got to ride the new buses. The interior isn't that bad but the rear is kind of cramped in between the rear and those inward-facing seats. The ride is also kind of rough compared to the Orions.
  21. The older part of campus retained the extremely narrow roads from the old AFB, and the curbs for those roads are unbelievably high. I doubt it.
  22. Life really is better when you give no ****s.
