  1. Like TwoTimer said. It would cause too many delays between the & the (6)/<6> at 125 St, cause they would have to crossover. I see what you are saying & you have a very good point, but to go with you plan, the would have to shut down the Lexington Ave line from either 86, 59 or 42 St & north to reconfigure the tracks so the coming from the Bronx would have the access to the local track & the would have access to the express track. Also Pelham wouldnt be able to have express service (unless you went according to my plan of scrapping the 148 St station, have the run to 145 & have the run via Pelham express.) This is why Jerome doesnt have express service (it's either Pelham has express service or Jerome.) So by giving Jerome express service, the would have to eliminate the Pelham exp. But if the was able to handle this whole time without express service & you say the Pelham line's ridership isnt as high as Jerome, then switch the express service to Jerome wouldnt be a problem, but there would be angry Pelham riders (unless you went with my plan like I said earlier.) But if the could have the tracks reconfigured at 125 St, I would be for this plan!
  2. It's ok! the signs are still awesome! Once again thank you! Yeah I've seen them. You sound like my mother. Anything that has a smaller version of it, she always says is cute
  3. I'm sorry to ask you for this again, but I just LOVE these overhead signs. When you have time, could please make a couple that this (on different signs of course) TO 125 ST & THE BRONX TO WAKEFIELD-241 ST VIA WHITE PLAINS EXPRESS EXCEPT LATE NIGHTS. LATE NIGHTS ALL LOCAL STOPS TO PELHAM BAY PARK VIA PELHAM EXPRESS EXCEPT LATE NIGHTS. LATE NIGHTS ALL LOCAL STOPS. and MANHATTAN & BRROKLYN VIA WHITE PLAINS & 7 AVE EXPRESS TO BROOKLYN COLLEGE-FLATBUSH AVE, ALL TIMES. LATE NIGHTS LOCAL IN THE BRONX. VIA WHITE PLAINS LOCAL & LEXINGTON AVE EXPRESS TO BROOKLYN COLLEGE-FLATBUSH AVE, EXCEPT LATE NIGHTS. LATE NIGHTS TAKE TO 3 AVE-149 ST FOR TRANSFER TO Thank you very much in advance!
  4. Dude, how did you get that signature avatar of the ?
  5. Oh, so this is pretty much the same thing that happened in 1987 with the (N)/® swap?
  6. This is so true! When I'm on the & it's held at President St, depending on the time it takes for the to leave, is how I figure out if it's a or . Of course if it's a shorter amount of time, then it's gotta be the . But if it is a , then by the time the gets to Atlantic it catches up with the . Also, maybe this is crazy, but I wish the Nostrand Ave track would rise between the Eastern Parkway Local & Express tracks, that way the wouldn't have to conflict with the . As oppose to coming in from the side & having the cross the local track if it doesnt need to. & the same thing southbound. Let me know what you think about this. Yes at Church Ave I know for a fact, that there is a bigger demand for the . & that's another thing, why do people take the Q35 to Brooklyn when they have the ? is it shorter? less crowded? (which I highly doubt)
  7. I know we still have time, but am I the only one that's outraged by the fact that the MTA is having the (B44) SBS run up Rogers Ave instead of New York Ave? Often I have to go to Williamsburg Bridge Plaza & only the limited goes there, during the day. I live between Brooklyn Ave & New York Ave, smack in middle of the block. I'm not interested in walking two & half blocks to Rogers Ave, when they can have the SBS run up New York Ave, not to mention the fact that Rogers/Bedford Ave already have a bus line, (B49).
  8. Are you saying that there is a bigger demand for 7 ave than Lexington Ave? I dont know, by my station, Sterling St, people flock after the even if you can see the coming down the tunnel from Winthrop St. & like I said by the time the arives into Manhattan the train is kinda crowded, especially during rush hours.
  9. Yeah, I feel like that a lot. Every time a train comes to a halt, I always want to know if a train is in front of us or a timer malfunction or whatever.
  10. ok, first of all even a friend you can pissed at. second when I wrote to stop attacking the guy I wasnt looking at anybody specific, I just quoted you, so it looked like I was talking to you, but I was talking to anybody who did or was going to attack him for asking a simple question. I'm sorry if I accused you of anything:) Third, while it is true people take the or till nevins st to get faster service to the or , there still is a bigger demand for Lexington Ave service in Brooklyn. I've been on the , , & between Brooklyn & Manhattan & The Bronx & Manhattan (mostly during the day around 11:30) & by the time the or reach Clark St & the & reach Borough Hall Lexington trains are always more crowded. The opposite is true for The Bronx. By the time the reaches 149 St & the reaches 138 St, the is usually more crowded.
  11. Actually there is more of a demand for service along Nostrand Ave. the only reason most people take the along Nostrand Ave is, the often has to wait at President St for either a or to pass, as the only has to wait for the to pass, so people take the to Franklin Ave & transfer to the . But there is a bigger demand for the along Nostrand than the . Another thing, why do people have to always attack a person who wants to know what service would be like a different way? So this person asked about the (2)/(5) swap in the bronx, so tell him/her it wont work & why & move on. You dont have to get pissed at them for asking a simple question! The reason this wont work is, the Bronx has the opposite problem Brooklyn does. Along the entire white plains line there is a bigger demand for west side service. From Wakefield-241 St, all the way till 149 St-Grand Concourse there is a bigger demand for the train, even at 149 St, the people from the (Jerome Ave) line transfer to the .
  12. ok, I think I figured out how to do it. When you have time could you please make me one more, only if it's not a bother. MANHATTAN AND BROOKLYN VIA CONCOURSE LOCAL TO CONEY ISLAND VIA BROADWAY-2 AVE EXPRESS AND BRIGHTON EXPRESS, EXCEPT LATE NIGHTS LATE NIGHTS TAKE TO 125 ST FOR TO KINGS HIGHWAY-OCEAN PKWY VIA 2 AVE LOCAL AND OCEAN PKWY LOCAL. ALL TIMES Thank you very much!
  13. In regards to Atlantic Ave, Im going southbound, so Nevins St is out of the question. When I'm coming from the BMT I want to know if I should take a or without having to run like a crazy person through the underpass. Like a Franklin Ave, I can quickly see if a is approaching or is, just by walking across the island platform. Now in regards to Mike's comment about Park Pl, this was before all platforms were lengthened. Today, Park Pl is at Park Pl & Church St & West Broadway, Chambers St is on West broadway, only 3 blocks north & short ones. And like I said before, just make a transfer at both Chambers Sts, you have a transfer between 6 lines & PATH. And why do you need a transfer to the in lower Manhattan anyway? You have a transfer to the express & local (which serves the same stops as the till 50 St and if you need 53 St or Queens just transfer at 42 Street).
  14. the MTA doesnt give a hoot about anybody. First we had people trapped on trains for hours during last years blizzard & now people get stuck on a train in between 2 stations on the express track! Does the MTA even give these people their fares back, or do they tell them to fly a kite?
  15. Beautiful, absolutely beautiful! & thanks for re-wording it to make it sound better! I cant thank you enough! B) Now how do i get it onto my posts?
  16. for pretty much the whole movie, yes it was an R62A designed to look like an R142A but the one scene of the actual hijacking, it was an R142A. And what I said about transferring the R142A, does that make sense?
  17. I may have a theory of how the MTA got a train set from Grand Central (Lex) to Grand Central (Flushing) for Pelham 123 They took the train set up the Jerome line to Bedford Pk & brought it to the Concourse yard, over there switching it to the line, then bringing it down Concourse, CPW, 6 Ave, Manhattan Bridge, then somewhere along the 4 ave corridor or maybe even the Brighton line they switched it to the northbound or until Queensboro Plaza then crossed over to the Flushing line, then brought it back to Manhattan via Flushing to Grand Central. Tell me if this makes sense.
  18. Ok, no problem! B) Could you make one like this, MANHATTAN & BROOKLYN VIA CONCOURSE EXPRESS TO KINGS PLAZA VIA 8 AVE LOCAL & BRIGHTON EXPRESS. LATE NIGHTS TAKE TO KINGS HIGHWAY FOR TO BRIGHTON BEACH VIA CENTRAL PK WEST-6 AVE EXPRESS & BRIGHTON LOCAL. LATE NIGHTS LOCAL IN THE BRONX. Thanks!
  19. Wakefield-241 St THE NEXT STOP IS 34 ST-PENN STA 10:30 AM If possible, could it be an R142A style & 600x60 Thank you very much!
  20. Thank you very much! I just made a request, when it's done, how do I get it onto my posts?
