  1. I guess someone should have started this thread, so I did. Sticky it? Random Thought: Just passed by it, 1747 had a breakdown at Douglaston Pkwy and Northern Blvd, heading towards Flushing. It was pulled over at the bus stop. And 1631 looks like it had it's destination sign changed. The font looks bolder.
  2. Post these proposals on the forum. I'm interested to hear them.
  3. Maybe the blue stripe on 1732 had to be shown. Maybe its a little lower than on the 1800s and the wrap wasn't wide enough. And now that I look at it, it doesn't look that bad.
  4. Yeaaa, I really thought 1732 would be better. But if the blue stripe was clearly visible, why didn't they fix the wrap?
  5. Maybe it was better with the old signs that just read "HEMPSTEAD"
  6. I don't think its assumed, but the doesn't want them. They weren't cared for as well as they should have been under Long Island Bus and because of that, their lives were probably shortened greatly. The knows that because Long Island Bus was looked down upon the last couple of years as things fell apart. Thats why some 1700s have problems now. Breakdowns are bound to happen with them and the doesn't want that in the city, so they loan them to the county who is desperate and stupid. However, just in case, the buses that if and are owned by the and rented to the county, will be wrapped last probably.
  7. I do know they said they got a new fuel contract that saves more money than the did, but I don't know how much it saved.
  8. A little editorial from Newsday: Veolia bus cuts in Nassau aren't severe
  9. Why are you repeating everything we know and is already on this forum and the NICE website and is already being discussed in several threads?
  10. I would say that the was not as responsible as they could have been with spending money for Long Island Bus. And those broken GPS devices, I wonder if those are connected to the broken Clever Devices when it tries to find the bus' location.
  11. Thats because NICE is only experimenting with how to work the Clever Devices and the Luminator signs. They must be new to this.
  12. You mean like it doesn't say "Thank You for riding Long Island Bus" anymore? What does it say?
  13. Wait, really? Then why has the N73 been the only one running on weekends all these years?
  14. No, you think "ppl" loved them. I went to the meeting and Veolia was courteous to listen to everyone's ideas and say they were great. That doesn't mean they're going to happen.
  15. And sooner or later, for these new routes, NICE is going to have to make new bus stop signs. I wonder what they'll look like.
  16. That may not be as true as you think it is. The spent a little more than they should have.
  17. I just watched this on TV. Service cuts coming to NICE buses with low ridership | 7online.com It is about the changes. In the report, there is also footage of them wrapping the new buses.
