  1. Really good stuff! How about some Brighton/CI action? -A
  2. Excellent pictures! Many thanks to SubwayEngineer12 for keeping the thread alive while I'm dealing with some personal family issues back home. The NYCTA projects I've been tasked with handling are in good care and still being worked on. Things are just topsy-turvy at the moment. -A
  3. Looking for R142 fonts. Anyone that can help? The ones on FontStruct are incomplete -_-

Interior ones? The exterior I haven't completed yet. Here's the interior http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/480477

Awesome work. I will patiently wait for the exterior fonts. These are great!

    3. IRT Bronx Express

      IRT Bronx Express

Wow, I didn't notice this. Do you need symbols in addition to the numbers/letters for the small mosaic fonts?

  4. Quite right, I forgot, lol Getting back on topic: A structural failure causes part of the 59 St mezzanine to crash below to the mezzanine of the station at the same complex. 59 St-Columbus Circle will be impassable for trains (even non-revenue run-throughs) for 6-8 weeks due to repairs. Reroute according. Possibly the as well. -A
  5. I agree with Q23--the bottom half of the routings are silly and foamish. You really have a thing for the to Broadway Junction don't ya? Besides, you're only having the on Broadway. Killing service is going to overload Broadway. Unless you plan on somehow sending the there too?
  6. Very nice! Have you thought of using my signals package?
  7. What about the delays associated with switching from express to local on the ? I think the TPH on the Sea Beach combined with Bay Ridge would cause a delay? Not sure, but your solution seems to be the best option! Due to several suspicious packages found at Herald Square station, both of the 34 St stations are closed for the entire day (beginning in the early AM, let's say 4 am) for the investigation. Reroute accordingly. This is a weekday as well. -A
  8. Looking good! Because I've been doing the IRT, I haven't had much time to play around with the B Div cars or textures in a long time. Love to see how they've turned out! -A
  9. Not too familiar with LIRRs routing capabilities, so I'd have to pass on that one. from Queensboro Plaza to Main St. No express service on the Flushing line. Extra trains dispatched to the locals. No service in Steinway Tubes to Times Square. The 42 St will utilize its third "rush-hour" train to handle the loads. will along the from W4 to Lex-53 and end there. It can relay on the crossovers outside of the station. Since won't be running on 53 St, there will be little to no delays associated with fumigating/switching over. Because of this, there will be extra trains in service along QBL. will run along the from W4 to Roosevelt Av-Jackson Heights, then normal to Jamaica Center. will end at Nassau St. Shuttle buses to Court Sq. Good one FamousNYLover! I actually had fun routing this one. -A
  10. Holy crap, was that a mess. Nice circus theme song though! New FASTrack construction finally comes to a place where it's sorely needed: the BMT Nassau St line. Bowery, Canal & Chambers St will be getting upgrades over a 3-month period. This will require a full shut down of the Nassau St line. Affects: from Bowery to Broad St. Reroute accordingly. (I know it's not a complex one this time, but bear with me, haha) -A
  11. June 16, 2013 Progress Map finished in its entirety. Leads have been constructed to Concourse & Jerome yards, but the yards themselves have not been built fully yet. Same is true for Livonia & Corona . Next and final line to be finished will be the to Pelham Bay Park. Once that's finished, I will start on the yards themselves. -A
  12. Strain, you don't have to be the police officer of this thread. I know it's yours originally but there seems to be nothing wrong with a few people doing requests as long as pictures are here. As the most senior contributor to this thread, content wise, I think it's allowable that a few requests be honored from time to time. SubwayEngineer, continue to post your pics here since there's no need to make a thread. Strain, I hate to say it but you don't have a right to pop in and police the thread whenever you want to when you're not really contributing to it. This isn't the first time you've popped out of obscurity to throw your weight around.
  13. This is why I refuse to patch anything on TS12 after my experiences with it.
  14. Excellent work! And, as promised here is the westbound video from Queensboro Plaza to Times Square. -A
  15. 6/11/13 Progress Map: extended north to Burnside Av. rush hour express between Burnside Av & 167 St, peak direction only. Youtube is being slow right now, but the westbound video from Queensboro Plaza to Times Square is currently uploading and will be posted tomorrow. Thanks guys! -A
  16. Queens Plaza isn't a good spot to turn trains. You're going to cause delays along the QBL what with fumigating the trains and crossing over multiple tracks to turn back. Unless you meant Queensboro Plaza? Turning back the would cause delays on the . I'm not understanding your rationale on the either. I'd suspend service and replace the Dyre Shuttle with buses. Due to a track fire that badly damaged the tunnels and interlocking plant, Forest Hills-71 Av station is out of service for trains. Only run-thrus are allowed to/from the Jamaica Yard. Reroute accordingly--affects -A
  17. Excellent! I'm still trying to work on using an invisible mesh and doing attachment maker to make LED changeable signs for the R143 and the R142 without having to clone several different copies of each train. How about some Queens lovin' Mr. Subway? -A
  18. First of two videos showing the line. This one is from Times Sq to Queensboro Plaza. It is fully signaled with accurate timers in both directions. The second video will be westbound. http:// -A
  19. I don't know if NYCRailfan specified if East 180 was part of the damage, assuming FP is having the shuttle run. I like your method FP, but I would alter it somewhat: I'd have the Manhattan-Brooklyn portion of the terminate on the upper level of 149-Concourse, middle track so not to disturb the . That would leave room for the to terminate at the lower level of 149, and then relay over the switches before 3 Av. I don't know if the can handle Lenox all by itself during the weekday rush hours. And of course the obligatory shuttle buses between Wakefield and Mott-Haven. -A
  20. In IRT news, the is signaled in both directions from Queensboro Plaza to Times Squares with accurate timers and signs. I will have two videos up soon, one in each direction showing how this all works. Excuse the lack of scenery in Queens--I'm trying to get my hands on some LIRR/Amtrak yard maps (I might just have to use Google Earth though). -A
  21. Due to a suspicious tower fire, the Hoyt-Schermerhorn interlocking is out of service for several weeks. What this means is no trains throughout that triangle between Jay/Metrotech, Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts & Bergen St stations. Reroute accordingly. -A
  22. Excellent! I'm looking forward to more of these great shots, while I'm working on the IRT and not contributing any pictures whatsoever -A
  23. I am really loving these shots Subway! Keep up the good work! I like seeing my route textures being put to good use. You definitely have an eye for taking really good screens at the right places. Can we get some Manhattan love? (I know it's hard because Jeff submerges subways beneath the baseboard). -A
