  3. They ran different equipment for the whole summer, why would it become a safety hazard now? Obviously the cause is in the length of the whole sets and not the length of individual cars. But I would love to hear why is it this way, signalling issues?
  4. if it wasn't for lousy competition we could have had a much better subway system

  5. Would anyone happen to have the current station plans of the stations in construction, by no means I need a complete plan. I just want to see what type of the stations are planned, because after seeing this. I for a second thought that we would have a pylon station (TUBE style). But seeing photo below it makes me wonder if this space actually reserved for phase 3 connector. So what's the truth?
  6. Wow i actually found a radio station that I can listen to, Hearts of Space.

I hope everything works out for the best, even though IMO nursing could have been more financially rewarding.

      i'm guessing for maintenance reasons

Makes sense since the way they replace rails is by using pre-fabricated sections, but the thing about maintenance isn't satisfying since there are sections of weld rail everywhere but elevated. My thoughts are going into technical difficulties area, maybe elevated lines experience more stress thus weld rail breaks more often, or since its metal structure, maybe the expansion/contraction requires short sections of rail to accommodate it. It seems that this question is stuck with me for goo...

well it seems you answered your own question. I think the open weather makes a big difference as far as the tracks expanding or contracting in the summer and winter.

  11. A random question, what are the obstacles, if any, towards installation of weld rail onto elevated structures?
  12. What a day, first we encountered a track fire, shortly after an old lady fainted and collapsed right in front of me. All this took place on crush loaded southbound (B)

I remember once someone pulled the EMB on an R160 (Q) between Prospect Park and 7 Av. There were (Q) trains at Prospect Park, Parkside Av, Church Av, Newkirk Av, and Kings Highway. Some of them were running Brighton Express, on the WEEKEND.

Judging from last post, thus one has very few comments and even less likes, so I think that something wrong with the set. Perhaps people are tired of similar pics that I take.

likes/comments is not indicative of skill, sometimes if you post things and other people post stuff a little bit after you, your thread gets pushed back. Happens a lot to everyone here.
