Lol. We shall see what happens in the future but I know for one thing sure is that the people who dont think the swaps will happen or think something else will happen will be out there fanning whatever moves or swaps happen in reality in the future regardless. Anyway carry on the discussion.
Right now they want to make the all R46s first and ENY all new techs when the R179s are coming in. Maybe after that’s complete the CI/Jamaica swap happens
Don’t try to make up false claims when there is evidence such as pictures and official documents to prove that your wrong. You are bullshitting yourself
So do we have to reset the 30 day Test if there is a broken window on the R179 or when someone pulls the emergency brake on purpose? Those issues are very minor plus you have the Bombarbier crew on the train helping out the NYC Transit workers to decide what to do with the issues?
From what I was told from someone who works for the TA, the R68A appeared to fill in for a R46 layup that had an issue at Coney Island yard. There are cases in the past where the yards supply trains to other lines not assigned to the yard during the rush hours to fill in for layups if they have an issue. This has happened on the line before where R160s and R68/As from Coney Island due to some of the layups at the Av X yard had an issue.
Im hearing from reliable sources those 5 trains end at Essex St on weekday nights lay up on the track that goes through the abandoned side of Canal and Bowery.
I think its to prevent people on Lexington Av to wait hours for a to come. Most people dont read the signs or listen to the announcements. If you run those (4)s as (6)s, I think there will still be a lot of people waiting for the to come which wont show up lol.
I heard the reason why they try to keep CBTC R160s off the is that they dont want them laid up on Queens Blvd. I think this can be a problem if the needs trains and it can only use CBTC equipment.
With the split G.O, we could see Westchester equipment on the southern but I think they should run additional service between 3 Av and Brooklyn Bridge instead. If Queens Blvd dosent have any G.Os occuring, would it makes sense to send the to Forest Hills.
Using line cars on the allows a smooth transition to the start of the G.O and the end of the G.O. Since the G.O end at 1 A.M, those trains cars on the can easily be put back into service.
Yep there are (W)s that run on West End when the Astoria and via West End occurs. There is also an putin that runs light on West End during the via West End G.O
I wonder whats the reason why they have to run shuttle buses between Atlantic Av and Prospect Park when there is the Franklin Av Shuttle and the . Can the shuttle handle the crowds?
Why would you run the between 96 St/2 Av and Coney Island when its a part time route? It would create a lot of confusion on 2 Av and plus the is still operating between 96 St/2 Av and Coney Island but via 6 Av. It makes more sense to reroute the between Lexington Av-63 St and Dekalb Av than run the
