  1. First it was the 67B, telling the commuters to take the 5:25 AM 319 from Toms River which serves Dorado and Brick P/R, then the rest of 67 cut back to Newark… 64 will still serve Hoboken
  2. There’s a multilevel rail car parked on track 1 at the AC rail terminal. IDK if it’s a cab car but it’s being used for training and practices on the AC Line
  3. Now the Greyhound/Flix, Peter Pan, Megabus stop will relocate to Spring Garden and Front St/Columbus Blvd near SEPTA station, effective Nov. 16 thru the first quarter of 2024 https://www.phila.gov/media/20231107163440/Bus-Relocation-Overview_Nov2023.pdf
  4. Academy took over the Disney Cruise Line Transfer (MCO airport/WDW resorts to Port Canaveral) as well as shuttle service for Disney College Program https://www.facebook.com/100064535690551/posts/pfbid0YUJNbjwZRCmcSv2hGKwnBtPUgGFbdBjRe14K65VrNhM9mQhKxgRZezeK2X2kXB7Ul/?mibextid=cr9u03
  5. Today’s story on the new bus schedules: https://www.nj.com/news/2023/07/nj-transit-adds-hundreds-of-bus-trips-but-some-riders-still-lose-service.html
  6. So it looks like a Broadway Bus has 6494 and 6495 operate parking shuttle service for Cape Liberty Cruise Port. You would see it on the front of the bus
  7. They could have at least added a 7 AM 319 trip to AC on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer
  8. https://www.cbsnews.com/philadelphia/news/sixers-arena-greyhound-bus-station-philadelphia-center-city/ New location has no restrooms, no place to sit or charge their phones while they wait for the bus. Passengers block the sidewalk and buses block the bus lane. Megabus has long stopped here before FlixBus and now Greyhound and Peter Pan. NJ Transit buses that start at 30th Street station (including the 316) also stop there. Yes it’s closer to the 8th & Market PATCO stop.
  9. That is a heck of a lot of 319 buses going from NYC to AC this Friday… https://content.njtransit.com/sites/default/files/bus_holidays/IndependenceDay2023/IND319.pdf
  10. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/11/us/philadelphia-i-95-collapse-vehicle-fire.html
  11. NFL Announced a Black Friday Football game between Miami Dolphins at NY Jets… NJT will be busy with Jets fans on the Meadowlands trains and shoppers on the 355 and buses to other malls
  12. We didn’t start a thread but one of the April 1st schedule changes now has the 504 extend beyond Ventnor Plaza to Margate Franklin Ave terminal via Dorset & Ventnor Aves. No changes to the 505 schedule as a result of this
  13. From now on… any updates on new M9s entering service on this thread would be beneficial to the overcrowding on some trains under the new schedule
  14. Now they’re going to lengthen some trains to 12 cars (paywall) https://www.newsday.com/amp/long-island/transportation/lirr-train-length-grand-central-madison-day-three-ch9i2g80
  15. I just took FlixBus (which now owns Greyhound) from 33rd St & 8 Av outside Penn Station back home to Philly at the 6 St and Market St stop because they no longer serve Cherry Hill Mall so I’m now doubling back to NJ on the 406 Greyhound recently relocated its Mt Laurel Exit 4 Stop to the Westhampton NJ Academy Bus Park/Ride off Exit 5. So there’s really no NYC bus service from Cherry Hill/Mt Laurel anymore w/o first going to Philly
  16. PTC is already installed, it’s just a software update on the DE/DM 30 AC locomotives, Multilevel Cab cars that will prevent them from entering the tunnels
  17. Rumors are, the opening date is MLK Day Jan 16... tomorrow LIRR will run simulated Grand Central Direct trains between Jamaica and GCM, trains will stop but doors will not open. https://railroad.net/the-east-side-access-project-discussion-esa-t69427-1080.html#p1613361
  18. Should the 67 have Seaside Trips this summer, it should be labeled as 67S or 67 with the sunglasses logo that the 316 currently uses, because the 67 express routing to Seaside also stops at Newark Airport
  19. Medford Branch to Medford/Tufts opened today. https://www.wcvb.com/amp/article/mbta-riders-celebrate-green-line-extension-medford-branch-opening/42222431
  20. FRA has granted the PTC Tunnel waiver https://www.regulations.gov/document/FRA-2022-0092-0008 The software must be installed in all DE/DM 30AC Locomotives, the C30 Cab cars, and MP-15 work locomotives by Feb 15, and all westbound LIRR and Amtrak trains through Harold Interlocking will be speed restricted to 45mph until all equipment above has software installed and tested
  21. I heard Dec. 18, I also heard a rumor the FRA waiver was approved but not yet published
  22. I’m now hearing the M3s are temporarily sidelined until next month which could further delay the ESA opening
  23. Looking at the draft schedules and trip planner, between GCM and Woodside on weekends… departure times are :05 :16 :35 per hour from Woodside to GCM, and :44 :51 :59 per hour from GCM to Woodside. Should the need to shutdown between Queensboro Plaza and 34th-Hudson, I’m sure all LIRR GCM trips will make the extra stop at Woodside to accommodate the subway riders
  24. When QUEENS Interlocking was reconfigured for Elmont Station, the LIRR replaced the 80mph crossovers with new 60mph crossovers, while the new QUEENS 4 Interlocking is a 15mph crossover https://www.thelirrtoday.com/2022/11/queens-interlocking-reconfiguration.html
