The run number signifies the trick that the driver is working. So if I'm working job 207 on a particular line, I'd have to turn the sign knobs so that it reads 207 on it before I sit down and start my route.

thank you very much now i understand why i dont have it cuz ours our like considered trips...

 

like if i drive the 23 the number on the transfer is the number of my trip like 2308 or 2312..first 2 is the route number and the 2nd 2 are the trip number...but thats my job numb too at that point id be driving trip 2312 or whatever...

Those sign knobs are a riot. Most are broken off, and you have to struggle to turn the thing. Why didn't they get electronic ones, I don't know.....
