Trainspotter Posted November 11, 2007 Share #1 Posted November 11, 2007 Man killed by NJ Transit train at New Brunswick station NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) — Authorities suspect that a man who was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train just after midnight today may have been intoxicated. NJ Transit spokesman Dan Stessel told The Star-Ledger of Newark that witnesses said the man either jumped or fell onto the tracks at the New Brunswick station at 12:34 a.m. Several people tried to help him back onto the platform, but he refused their help. At the last minute, the man tried to get off the tracks, but it was too late. The engineer didn't have enough time to stop the train. Stessel said the man appeared to be intoxicated. The man's name was not released. From: NJ.COM - November 11, 2007
Pablo M 201 Posted November 11, 2007 Share #2 Posted November 11, 2007 Sounds like a Rutgers student might've had a little too much to drink.... But we'll have to wait for a full story to know if it was a student or not.
