AA 8th Avenue Posted July 5, 2009 Share #7 Posted July 5, 2009 Great pics and vids the best part is when the leaves Church Ave. Just the hiss is heard in the silence of the station. Just great.
LRG Posted July 5, 2009 Share #8 Posted July 5, 2009 Damn! I guess the (G)'s not getting R160s or R68s like projected. It's all good. but it should still be lengthened.

R62A 1991 Posted July 5, 2009 Share #10 Posted July 5, 2009 Awesome photos! It seems that the is running more R143s than ever, which is great. The MTA really did a good job here, especially that poster telling the riders the difference between OPTO and regular weekday service during July. Yep, great time to be away from NYC right now...anyway, keep posting these wonderful photos!

8 Av/Fulton Exp Posted July 6, 2009 Share #22 Posted July 6, 2009 im confused... so are the (G)'s gonna use the local tracks at Church av with the ? and relay on them as well? wont that cause delays?
via White Plains Road Posted July 6, 2009 Share #23 Posted July 6, 2009 im confused... so are the (G)'s gonna use the local tracks at Church av with the ? and relay on them as well? wont that cause delays? Yes the will use the same Southbound and Northbound tracks b/w Smith-9th Streets and Church Avenue. Once the customers get dumpped @ Church Avenue it will relay on the turnaround tracks underneath the regular tracks! http://images.nycsubway.org/trackmap/bigbklyn-3.png
mark1447 Posted July 6, 2009 Author Share #24 Posted July 6, 2009 im confused... so are the (G)'s gonna use the local tracks at Church av with the ? and relay on them as well? wont that cause delays? Like Curtis says, After It goes out of Service at Church Avenue, it will Cross to the Express Track and gos under the Upper Tracks(Used by the to get to Culver EL), and Relay(Turn around there) to head back to Queens[it will NOT head to the Culver EL and relay at Ditmas, not Possible]. They will also use those tracks for layup(Storage) of the (G)s. Especially when its not going to Jamaica.
Far Rock Depot Posted July 7, 2009 Share #25 Posted July 7, 2009 NICE PICS! Especially of the new(G) service! Im assuming they will stop at the rear during OPTO and the front during the weekends. were the c/r boards for 4-car R46s set up at that station yet?
