Former Routes

What former routes does the bee-line bus system have, and what areas did they serve?

There two i know of from top of my head.

One was the #90 Fordham Road-Playland service. It operated 6 days a week(except Mondays)during summer. It operated on Saturday/Sundays only from Memorial weekend-June 20. Then daily except Mondays when Playland is closed.

Bee Line ended this line because of two reasons. 1)High costs of running it 2)Parrell the MNRR New Haven Local Fordham-Rye service.

IMO this route should be brought back but summer weekends only on Saturday and Sundays 2x a day in each direction ie 9am and 12 Noon to Playland and 5pm and 9pm to Fordham.

The other is actually the former TOR(Transport of Rockland)extended #59 bus that ran weekdays only between Suffern and White Plains. It was the early stages of the now and current Tappan Zee bus line that operates between Spring Valley and Tarrytown-White Plains Monday-Saturdays. The current Tappan Zee bus route started around 2000 at same time, the Palasides Center Mall opened.

The #59 now only operates between Nyack and Suffern 7 days a week.
