Recommended Posts

in this thread I'll show you some pictures and give you information about the "Stadtbahn" in Cologne and Bonn, which is also known as "Stadtbahn Rhein-Sieg". I'll try to add some pictures every day. For more information look at wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cologne_Stadtbahn This page about the Stadtbahn is quite good B)

This foto shows the museum train 3764 on a fan trip in July 2006. Today all of these "Achtachser" [series 31, 32, 37, 38] are retired.

Here are some more pictures from Cologne and Bonn.

This picture showes one of the newest low-floor-cars in Cologne. Car 4512 comes from Bahnhof Deutz and goes to Cologne University.

7578 is one of the oldest cars in Bonn, here in service on line 66. In Bonn the first two numbers of the car give you the information when it was build, in this case in 1975. Some of these cars are retired, the rest will get overhauled in the next years. So they'll stay in service for more than 25 years :P

Car 4506 on line 15 to Chorweiler. There is a transfer to the S-Bahn available.
