Its Offical the (E) is Now 100% R160A/B as of July7th,2009, July 6th was the Very Last Day for R42's on the (E), as well as the (F), The Last day for R32's on the (F) was July 1st,2009 The head car was 3932 I don't know the Last day for R32's on the (E) was but the last Time I took an R32 (E) was on June 22nd,2009 and It ran until 12:30Am so I think that was the Last day for R32's on the (E) and I have photo's, Also Last Night I got a shot of the Scrap Train, N/ 3538/39,4654/55,4486/87,4561/60,4512/13,4570/71 /S.

Also Now its the (F)'s Turn to get the R160's and While the (F) gets R160's An r46 will be pushed to The (R) Line 1st to what I know of due to the Fact that it has less SMEE's than the (V) to bump off an R40M/42 to the scrapline, Then the (V) will start getting more R46's back, But The (R) is still in line to get R160's so That the (F) will be 50% R160's, The (R) and (V) are the Only Lines to Have the SMEE's the (E) and (F) do not have no more SMEE's as of July 7th,2009, Its possible for the (F) this weekend because the (R) is going to 179th st this weekend and sometimes they share their equipment but don't count on It.

R40M = Dead train rolling.

So this means it is going to be as follows:

(F) - R160 50% R46 50%

(R) - ALL SMEE

(V) - "

In mid 2010 they should be replaced by incoming R160s.

So basically there gonna be around for about a year until they are off for a swim? Those cars are my home town rolling stock and home town line ( the J ) but they look as bad as theyve ever look I think they should be gone a little bit less then that.

^ The above is correct since R46s are SMEEs too. As more R160s come in the (F) will become all R160 and the (V) will be all R46.

i thought half of the (F) will stay R46 and R160s?

And i feel bad for the SMEE (R32-42) on the (E)/(F)! So we better start rding them before they go bye bye. Then the (A)©s R32s will be next! And the era for the RFW on the IND/BMT will be over leaving the (7)'s R62A have em, and maybe the (6) in the late future...

The rest of the R160s will go to the (F) making it all R160. BTW, the (E) and (F) don't have SMEEs anymore...

I like this because I can get more SMEEs on the (R). :(

But it's kinda boring cuz the (R) is slow. The only good runs are in the tunnels but that's it. Of course, it's nice to see something different on the line.

Dude I am going to say this again, The (F) WILL NOT BE 100% R160's, The ®/(V) will Be Getting Them Also, Almost the Whole (E),(F),(R) and (V) is R160 ready, They just need to get the Relay Crews R160 Ready, The (G) will be 100% R46's, Just to let you know, The R160's will be spreaded out along the QB and from what I hear the (F) will have More R160's than R46's so It will be like this in the Near Futrue:

(E):R160

(F):65% R160 45% R46

(R):35-40% R160 75-70% R46

(V)15% R160's and 80% R160's

Well the Only place you can view as an "EL" in a tunnel is south of 59th st, on 95th bound (R)

So this means the (A)(C)(J)(R)(V)(Z) ti have SMEE atm

does any1 know when the (J)(Z) will knock there 42s off ENY?

one thing u can say about the 40s/42s is the air condition is the best was on a mix of 40/42s on the (R) and (V) lines and the a/c was great but seeing the (E) and (F) with the 160s and 46s warm my heart after months of the (F) being the pot luck line running 32s 40s 42s 46s and 160s its good the (F) is all 46s and 160s

i'm kind of sad that there are o more SMEE's on the (E) and (F) lines... we've all have great memories!!! but, i know this is off topic, in the future orders of the R179's will the jamaica yard and queens blvd lines see these cars running or will the (E)(F)(G)(R)(V) lines be completely R160 by then???...

The R179 was Planed to go to the (F) line since 2008 but that Plan mostlikely has Changed to The (A) getting them 1st, as For the R160's At Jamaica, They will be spreaded Out along the (E),(F),(R) and (V), But the (E) is now 100% R160 now the (F) will get More R160's now then they will go to the (R) then last The (V), The r160's did run on the (G) in Passeenger service in April when the (G) went to CI to replace the (F) while the (F) went to Euclid ave for 1 round trip.

When the R160A option II comes in, the first of those cars will be going on the (L) because they have CBTC. Then the non-CBTC R160A's on the (L) will go to the (J)(Z). R160A 9502 was just delivered. That means we have 90 cars left until option I of the R160A's is complete. How long will it take for those 90 cars to come? idk. but once they arrive, the next batch will be CBTC R160A-1's for the (L).

What is your source for all of this information? The last batch of the 4-car R160A's will go directly to the (J) & (Z), not the (L). The 83xx R160's are being retrofitted with CBTC.

T/O's on this site have mentioned that there will be 32 CBTC R160A's in option II. Obviously, they would be going to the (L). I inferred that since the R160A's on the (L) don't have CBTC as of now, that the R160A's arriving with CBTC would go to the (L), and the (L)'s non CBTC R160A's would go to the (J)(Z). I'm not sure if there will be more than 32 R160A-1's in option II, but if there are more they won't have CBTC and go to the (J)(Z).
