NYtransit Posted July 15, 2009 Share #1 Posted July 15, 2009 does any body have images of the flushing line in 1985? becuase i wounder if there were some redirds running along the line in 1985. because i believe that R33 and R36 were over hauled in 1984 and the last car was in 1986. so i wounder how the line looked in 1985 with some redbirds and some original R33 and R36 subway cars. R44 5278 Posted July 15, 2009 Share #8 Posted July 15, 2009 It was part of a test, I believe, to combat graffiti. It was actually used to test out which part of the system was hit most heavily with graffiti.
