Overcrowding in Bronx buses

A friend of mine told me that there seems to be more overcrowding on Bronx buses from time to time. I told come into here and discuss it with us but he won't do it.

I think it's the Bx12 that's a really overcrowded bus. I think that's the crossbronx bus to city island.

Thats where the 4 and 5 get there crowdedness from the buses.

I couldn't agree more with you on that one. The Bx12 is simply horrendous....it's the one route that I avoid at all costs. I've walked all the way from Jerome Ave. to White Plains Rd. (about a 15 to 20-minute walk) just to avoid the overcrowding.

Yes, multiple times. But it was a nice day outside, and I didn't mind the walk. I didn't want to stand on a jam-packed bus with people bumping into me every 10 seconds for the next 10 minutes.

The reason why is the Bronx has experienced a daily increased ridership of 10,000 customers. The schedules have not been adjusted to accomodate this on most lines, nor are there too many spare buses for additional trips, especially during the rush. Us bus operators got this memo last year, with our trip sheets.
