R44 5278 Posted July 18, 2009 Share #1 Posted July 18, 2009 Today was really boring with nothing new. All I heard when I was heading to Chinatown on Broadway was that the R was rerouted onto the F due to debris on the tracks. I waited for half an hour at 14th St until a packed R160A 9802 N train crawled into the station. But anyway here's the solid R42 V train I was on today. I rode on car 4555: *Note the interesting rollsign as it was designated for 95th, Brooklyn

R44 5278 Posted July 18, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted July 18, 2009 Good stuff but as long as you didn't encroach onto my territory, everything's fine. And what's your territory again?

N-Trizzy2609 Posted July 18, 2009 Share #7 Posted July 18, 2009 I was on a solid R40M train on Wednesday.
R44 5278 Posted July 18, 2009 Author Share #8 Posted July 18, 2009 did you said the new R160B set is in service? I got on a 98XX with Alstom Propulsion at 14th St. So it could've been a set of R160A options IIs, or a set R160B option IIs. I was on a solid R40M train on Wednesday. They might be solidifying the trains now in preparation for the retirement of the R40Ms.
MTR Admiralty Posted July 19, 2009 Share #9 Posted July 19, 2009 I got on a 98XX with Alstom Propulsion at 14th St. So it could've been a set of R160A options IIs, or a set R160B option IIs. They might be solidifying the trains now in preparation for the retirement of the R40Ms. Those are R160B Option 2s. Probably 9803-9812
