rockdove Posted July 27, 2009 Share #1 Posted July 27, 2009 I don't know if anyone has seen this in one form or another, but Bing.com has an impressive 'Bird's Eye' view of NYC and a 3D view which I have yet to try. Even the regular ariel map looks clearer than what Google uses and the bird's eye view even has multiple angles. Go to Bing Maps and type in the address you want to see. mark1447 Posted July 27, 2009 Share #2 Posted July 27, 2009 Bing was known as Live Search till somewhere in june 2009 (before Windows Live Search and MSN Search(Post 2006). The Birds Eye View is ok, but the Microsoft's Virtual Earth 3D version sucks bad. Buildings look horrible.. Best is to use Google Maps. They offer transit, MSFT's Bing, No! Messino Posted July 27, 2009 Share #3 Posted July 27, 2009 BING is weak, I hope they FAIL! When you log out of hotmail or into MSN they force the curser into their search field so when you go to type something in the address bar it is really in the search bar, a real sneaky way to get search hits. Their virtual earth sucks too. THey should just give up, do they really think BING is going to be better or popular than google? Like im going to tell people oh yeah I binged it online, I googled it online! GOOGLE is STILL #
MTR Admiralty Posted July 27, 2009 Share #4 Posted July 27, 2009 Bing! got me by surprised. When I first heard about it, I thought they were referring to Bing U. (Binghamton University), and then I found out it was this search engine. I agree with Messino, Google is still the best.
AgedPolaris Posted July 29, 2009 Share #5 Posted July 29, 2009 I think the angle & resolution is pretty hot on bird's eye. Otherwise I haven't used bing that much myself
