mark1447 Posted July 27, 2009 Share #1 Posted July 27, 2009 I Just caught in like 10 min ago an Orion 7 HEV MV #65xx [i think 6575(Or 8) I forgot]. It was at Crotona Pkway(Southern Blvd)/East Tremont, heading WB , sounded like it came from West Farms as Tremont leads to it near and it was coming from the WF direction. Then it turned Southbound on Southern Blvd Toward South Bronx(OR somewhere south) along the Bx19. Why was it there? I hope West Farms isnt getting an Orion 7 HEVs while MV is getting NGs which isnt fair...
Q43 Floral Park Posted July 27, 2009 Share #2 Posted July 27, 2009 I would say operator training before guessing WF was getting HEVs. For WF to get any NTT buses now whatsoever, it'd be unfair to people in KB and UP with them old busted up buses.

I think u mean NT = New Technology Bus cuz NTT is New Technology Train unless u mean Test instead of Train.

I saw a JAM bus on Kingsbridge RD about a month ago training so anything is possible.

PATCOman Posted July 27, 2009 Share #7 Posted July 27, 2009 IIRC, there are usually some crazy bus moves around rodeo time.

The 6500s are at Fresh Pond and Grand Avenue. There are no 6500s at MHV unless one of those buses are there for Driver Training.

There was no way the OP saw a MHV 65xx because MHV doesn't have any. And he properly listed the O7 series that run out of MHV he just didn't give the actual numbers. As for the part about where the 6500s run I assume he was using the question mark for someone to verify if he was right. I do expect this to be a one time occurence however.
