HaglerE180 0 #1 Posted July 28, 2009 Hi guys This is my first post, but I was looking for someone to guide me to a good source of information. I'm currently building 3d/4d models of the subway system, I have several stations, but now I'm working on cars, although I'm using photos from the internet & google sketchup to do some of the work the bulk of the work is being doing In Microstation, Autocad & 3d studio max. I have dimensions<6> from the PDFs from the Subway Museum site, but is there another place that would have this information. I thought about buying some of the models, & trying to scale off of those, but that could end up being costly. I'm also tyring to do the same for buses, Any help would be greatly aprreciated, Thanks. Maserati7200 31 #2 Posted July 28, 2009 Yeah, go to nycsubway.org and click on "cars". Click on your division (lettered lines = b division, numbered = A div). Then click for the data sheet which lists all specifications. http://images.nycsubway.org/cars/datasheet-r160.jpg

HaglerE180 0 #5 Posted August 8, 2009 I actually found a site where the redbird was already done in 3D, http://www.allcitystyle.com, These guys are doing Graffitti on 20 inch models made from a 3d model & then printed out by a 3D Printer. It's really cool check it out, thanks again for all the help you given this newbie poster. (especially Maserati)
