FamousNYLover Posted July 30, 2009 Share #9 Posted July 30, 2009 Nice picture, JohnQPine! It almost look like ex-Queens Surface Orion V CNG! I hope passengers don't mistake their bus with College Point Depot and Long Island Bus!

Eric B Posted August 2, 2009 Share #11 Posted August 2, 2009 It will be weird; like Nassau as a sixth boro. Imagine if they changed all the traffic lights and poles, lampposts and street signs to NYC style. Then it would be like NYC did annex all of the original Queens County after all! I still think they should have stuck with the blue and orange for the LI operation.
KNIGHTRIDER3:16 Posted August 2, 2009 Share #12 Posted August 2, 2009 That bus looks famlr hmmm that strip my guess is painted right cuz our CPT CNG's when they went to the paint shop I asked about that strip being to different types of blue >I saw at eastchester today all those LIBuses
Dan05979 Posted August 2, 2009 Share #13 Posted August 2, 2009 how come the suffolk county buses are not part of the mta?
aemoreira81 Posted August 2, 2009 Share #14 Posted August 2, 2009 That looks like a re-tape to me (except for the back which was painted white). This is the fifth white-backed LIB O5 (the others are 1533, 1546, 1566, and 1641). 1456 (since scrapped) was done up the same way.
jfkdepot09 Posted August 2, 2009 Share #15 Posted August 2, 2009 The bus looks repainted too me.....I think if it was stripe the blue would not be that dark.....like cp depot when they just put blue on them it was like a lighter blue...but when they. Repaint the full bus its a darker bus......I think lib will repaint most of them .......then just but some blue tape on da rest and put a logo on it and say that was easy
petabread Posted August 2, 2009 Share #16 Posted August 2, 2009 That bus was repainted. 193 was retaped and you can tell. If you look at all buses that were taped, including the CP, JFK buses and the one LIB they are all a lighter blue.

I hope the keeps the black paint around the windows it looks better that way, but I doubt the will because they're trying to cut down on expenses. I hope they keep the chrome wheels as well.
